That is correct.

I replaced the original Horizon windlass on my 330 Express with the Lewmar Pro Fish 700 about a year ago. I use 50 feet of chain. So far, I'm happy.

My moment came when my grandson showed me how he put protective covers on my twin Yamahas. He clipped the cover strap in place BEFORE working the covers over the engine. I've been struggling with installation for years - trying to buckle up last! He definitely helped this old man!

Turns out that White Water's two offerings are too wide and too narrow. An inner span of 19 - 20 inches would be perfect.

Chain is heavy & bulky - are you having a problem holding? What anchor do you have? I would suggest more chain, but not all chain. I have a 2003 330 Express, with a Delta 22 lb. anchor, 50 ft. of 1/4" HT chain and 300' of 8 plait nylon line. With this configuration, I have never had a problem...

I have west coast 2003 330 Express. Both tanks original. So far OK - but I know that the clock is ticking down!!

I had replaced the brass drain tubes twice on my 2003 Express 330. Then my repair facility suggested using thick wall fiberglass tubing. I'll never have to worry about changing the drain tubes again! Whatever you decide to do, compromised drain tubes must be replaced to prevent transom rot.

Sorry - the 12/29/25 thread compared the 300 Marlin with a 330 Express - but key comparisons probably similar.

Don't forget the brass thru hull tubes. You're right, a questionable design that requires the owner, as the boat ages, to repair and SEAL all the potential weak areas. The tricky part is finding and fixing ALL of them BEFORE they become a problem!
