Simyamaha is an excellent resource. Joe let me know within a couple hours that Yamaha didn't put nmea 2k in their engines until 2005. It looks like I will be going the GFS-10 route. Thanks for the advice and I'll do a follow-up post on the outcome.

My 180 Sportsman has a 2004 Yamaha F150 TRC 4 stroke.... and the digital speedometer died. The users manual does not reference a part number for the device. Digging on the internet, I've found: 6Y5-83570-S6-00 as the most likely replacement part. Has anyone done this replacement on their own...
