I’ve read threads that have stated to face the arrow against flow towards supply. Evinrude put out a service bulletin to do this. It supposedly helps with purging air.

Thanks for the reply Dennis. I said the same thing. There are threads on that arrow being pointed toward the tank. I’ve also replaced the water pump, and gear oil. This morning I’ve started the outboard after sitting over night, no alarm, running we speak. Hopefully there was just air in the system.

Hi everyone, I got a 2011 Evinrude E-Tex 200. I decided to replace my in line oil filter between resivour and oil pump/ solenoid. The arrow is facing toward the tank, same as taken off. I then experienced a no oil code 38. I then tried bleeding the system to no change. Using the e Tec software...

Upper crack. Ground down, found 3 pieces of plywood in core. One piece was separated from the rest at top of transom. Cleaned out, filled with west system epoxy. Clamped end to end.

Just wanted to update everyone… sanded all paint and fairing compound off. Ground area of crack down with grinder, tapering area on both sides. Core seems to be dry and in good shape. Seems the tech that replaced the transom did a poor job tapering the glass work existing to new. Thanks everyone.

Thank you for your time and your response. I will facilitate your recommendations and recheck. Hopefully when I grind it back the core is in good condition and transom can be repaired. Thanks again.
