Port side window vent. Has a plastic handle/latch. The latch parted recently so the vent obviously won't stay closed. Haven't contacted a dealer yet, thought I'd post here first to see if anyone else has dealt with this and is there a fix or replacement. Thanks

Thanks, I take it you ordered from Grady (dealer) and not the manufacturer of the drain? I emailed Grady, know a phone call is quicker just haven't had time. I found what I think is the correct size, just not flush mount.

I've an 87 Offshore. My flush type cockpit drains are as you described and are way overdue in replacing. So did you deal directly with Grady or did they divert you to a dealer? Were the new pair of one piece 90* flush fitting? Thanks.

Where is the crack on the vertical tubing, top, middle, bottom? Can water enter the tubing and can it hold the water? Water the freezes can cause an outward bulging or crack.

In 86 there was a rating of 300hp for notched transom. The boat could be ordered with a bracket or the OMC sterndrive relic but there was no rating for max hp. I would assume that the bracketed boat would have same max rating, but who knows. In 87 there was a 300hp rating for notched transom...

Don't know about inside the transom, but to me the bolt holes of a single bracket are evident as well as different water lines. Once you clean the transom look closely for gel coat blisters and repair. When I finally had enough with the springfield bracket and removed it, I had many blisters...

Looking at your transom, it appears the previous owner changed from a single to double bracket at some point.
