I need to replace the thru hull fittings in the transom for the deck drains. They have 1 1/2 hose attached to them. The problem i'm running into is finding long enough ones. The plastic ones i took out had 5 inches of thread on them. I've tried fittings that were for 3.5 thick transoms and i'm unable to get atleast the width of the nut unto the fitting.

I've 1 that I bought from West Marine yrs. ago. You raised my interest but I couldn't find them at WM.

Couldn't seem to find dimensions at the above website, but it looks like it. If you call would appreciate what you find, like to keep a couple on hand.

I was interested yrs. ago in something bronze or stainless but could never find the exact size.

Don't know if you'll be able to click on above site.

reading thru the question and answer that thru hull would fit up to 3 1/8 thick transoms. So it's not long enough either. Someone has to make one.

I wouldn't swear to it but unless your transom thickness is greater than mine then it should work. What I've got measures 3 1/2" threaded part and it works for me. Once you tighten the locking nut, which really doesn't hold the scupper, then that gives you the 3/8" less that's adverstised.

For 22bucks I'd give it a shot.

You'll have to email Attwood. Ask them for total dimensions.

Almost 3.5 inches. The transom doesn't appear to have been replaced. The plastic thru hulls that were in there had threads that were 4.5 inches long
