    Batteries - how many seasons?

Capt Bill, Every springtime for the last 3-4 years when I start the boat I expect the batteries to fail. They just keep spinning the flywheel like they were new. I don't know why they keep going but I too am pretty amazed they have lasted for ten years. On top of that I am starting two old...

    Batteries - how many seasons?

OK guys, I've been waiting to tell this. I have two Nautilus 1000 batteries in my boat. I use the boat every year and often during the year. My batteries are 10 years old and are not showing any signs of weakness. I know I'm probably on borrowed time so I plan to replace them in the spring...

    Grady White Fuel Sending Unit

I recently replaced the fuel sending unit in my 1995 262 Chase with a WEMA unit. Make sure you order the right length. Email Grady customer service and they will tell you what length to order for your boat. Unit is very simple to replace. Turn off the battery switches before changing out the...

    Old Decals

I had the same problem on an older Grady several years ago. The only way I got rid of the problem was to use agressive buffing compound and a heavy duty buffer. It takes some work but eventually the old image will disappear and not return.

    Baitwell & S/W Wash Winterization

Better safe than sorry but if you open the sea cocks and run the raw water and live well pumps dry you should not have a problem. It does not take long to put a little antifreeze in these systems. I always run antifreeze (pink stuff) through the fresh water system and the head. Water always...

Bildge pump float switch not working

I have an older Grady that has been in saltwater since new. Most of my electrical problems seem to be corrosion with connections. I use electronic connection cleaner (comes in a spray can) and fine sand paper. This has saved me from replacing several components. Also if you don't have one...

    Scuppers

I have a 1995 262 Chase with twin 200"s on the back. Scuppers are partially below water line. I've never had a drainage problem and have been out in downpour's and rough seas that dumped buckets water into the boat, but it drained OK.

Need some advice from you Evinrude Gurus

I have twin 1995 200HP rudes. I was given the exact same advice about not running the engines at low RPM's trimed all the way in. Seems to help a little. I still get stalled out from time to time when I put in reverse and apply throttle. I have never treated the engines for carbon build up...

    Fuel Sending Unit

Does anyone out there know the size (inches long) of the fuel sender unit for the 95 262 Chase. I prefer not to have to pull the old unit, put it back and then order a new one, pull it out again and replace. Is there a better place to buy the replacement than a Grady dealer?

    Fuel Sending Unit

Thanks. Yes, I have a very good meter and some electrical experience. I'll give your suggestion a try. I hate to start buying and replacing parts until I solve a problem.

    Fuel Sending Unit

Have a 1995 262 Chase. Fuel gage quit working. Removed fuel sensor and made sure electrical connections were OK and that float ball was free. What is best way to check if guage is bad or if sending unit is bad? :?:
