Your experience with a hydrofoil (especially on a 228)?

I had one on a 22ft cuddy cabin boat years ago. It had a v8 sterndrive. It was very helpful. I didn't have trim tabs on that boat, and the hydrofoil gave me the ability to really trim the boat. It improved my planing time and allowed me to stay on plane at a lower speed.

    SeaV2 Seafarer with I/O?

Call grady white. They'll have everything you are looking for. They were very helpful when I was needing help on my gulfstream when I bought it. It was a '93 and they still had all of the info.

    Deck size - Please Help?

I have a 2006 sailfish, and the cockpit measurement is 67in long from the bottom of the live well to the rearfish box. The width is 87in. In useable space. I didn't count the space under the gunwale.

    330 Express Performance Question

My money is on growth. It doesn't take much to really hurt performance. My bottom is painted on my sailfish and if I let it sit for more than a week without taking her out, I will lose performance.

    OX66 Alarm Question

It's not a hard change, but their will be a moment where you will wish you had a third hand. The rounded end on the poppet valve needs to face inward toward the engine when installing. As an fyi, I've had this happen and even though I thought It was the poppet, it ended up being the impeller...

    OX66 LP Fuel Pumps

You're right, it does sound like a clogged vst filter. Another possibility that you may as well change are the injector filters. They are inexpensive and will take less than 10 minutes to change. Worth a change as maintenance every few years. The tps shouldn't change voltage when you tap it...

    OX66 LP Fuel Pumps

I had a pair of ox66 engines for 5 years. I've been in your situation a few times. Every time the problem ended up being the LP pumps. It'll be a good idea to always keep an extra set on hand. With ethanol gas, they don't last much more than a year or so.

I have the same engines and gauges. Mine do the same as yours. I've wondered the same, but have never had a problem.

    2002 282 Sailfish re-power question

I'll be looking forward to hearing your performance numbers. I have a 2006 sailfish and am looking to repower in the near future. I have the 250hp Yamahas currently, but I can't find anything on a sailfish with 300s.

    Towing a 282 Sailfish

My concern would be at the boat ramp. When I first got my 232 I pulled it with an expedition. First, it pulled it, but it didn't really tow it if you understand my meaning. One afternoon I was putting the boat in the water, and as I backed down the ramp the truck went into an uncontrolled...

Types of Two Stroke Oil You Run: Any Probs With It?

I second the Pennzoil. I switched from yamalube 3 years ago on my ox66 engines. They do smoke less and I've seen absolutely no difference in performance. I do save quite a bit as the pennzoil is $synthetic blend is $17 per gallon at Walmart.
