How much bottom paint on your Seafarer?

From what I understand the white paint doesn't necessarily stay white and will start to yellow.

When in doubt, it's probably the more expensive one.

What is this and where do I get a new one?

Hmm, they have it in their exploded diagram (#5?) but the descriptions below for parts are a little funky. #6 is clearly the damper but what is the first #6 listed? 5 68F-42647-01-00 HOLDER, CLAMP BAND $32.44 Add to cart 6 69J-42647-01-00 HOLDER, CLAMP BAND $58.07 Add to cart 6...

What is this and where do I get a new one?

So recently I noticed that my engine was dropping rpms at the top end and then during a subsequent trip it wouldn't even get that high. So I pulled the boat, replaced the plugs and fuel/water separator. There was zero water in the fuel but I currently have the fuel filter can in the freezer...

Grady white seafarer 228 live well

The scuppers on the 228 are very low. When on plane nothing should be coming in though. However, at rest or low speeds, especially if you have some weight in the back, you might see some water creep in.

So the 208 and 228 go away for the new 218

As someone who doesn't fish, but does take out my young children on the boat I'd have to disagree. Although I only use the livewell for storing fenders, I appreciate the fully enclosed back due to the safety factor it adds. My kids are still too small to leave back there alone when at any speed...

So the 208 and 228 go away for the new 218

Time to put away the pitchforks, they came back with a good compromise. *although I still prefer the layout of the 228

    208 Adventure killed off?

They go where the money is, afterall it's a business. Right now the money is in CC's and DC's. People in hot climates also fall into the misconception that the cabin must be a hot box which is simply not true, at least when you underway anyway.

    Check your scuppers

I never have previously but will look into doing so next spring. Typically I buy the Trilux spray but maybe I'll get a roll on instead so I can do that.

    Check your scuppers

Decided yesterday that we would go out in the kayaks and paddleboards to play around in the harbor during low tide. Let the kids play in the mud, dig up clams, look for sea life, etc. Well while out there we stopped at the boat for a bit since it is on a mooring. While on the boat I noticed it...
