    Why Grady?

I liked the Grady lines dating back early seventies. When the time came for me to buy (2003) I settled on the 20'-21' range and went looking at the different brands/models at the boat show. I kept coming back to the 208 based on those lines, layout and quality. Nearly ten years later I have no...

    GW 208 Bimini Support

I would love to have an option for additional rigid supports that would make it stronger. The Bimini top setup from the factory is so flimsy it's scary. In fact, a few years ago I was cruising down the James River when suddenly and without warning the thumb-screw (one of the two that support the...

Short answer, yes. I would consider the new F200 as well. A little more HP is always better.

    Cat Urine on Cushion Covers

I'm having a similar issue except the intruder is not getting in the cabin. It is getting under the boat cover around the splash well and camping out on the bow using my stored bimini top as a bed. Lots of short hair and some spotty stains on the gelcoat. I suspect it is a cat but not sure. The...

    New Man On The Block

The 208 is an excellent choice for the uses you described and should fit nicely in your slip. If you can find a good used model I would go that route, IMO the price on a new one is ridiculous. If money is no object, go new and time it when Yamaha is offering a free extended warrenty on outboards...

208 with Yamaha F150 Outboard.. low power

I have a 04 208 with an F150 and it does fine. I won't win any races but it easily hits the upper 30's (mph) with 2-3 people. I've been told the prop horsepower rating for that motor is actually closer to 165 hp.

    Just got a 2003 GW208....

Check the snaps on your jump-seat cushions from time to time or you will lose them. Check the screws in the top-center of your windshield for tightness. If one of them comes loose your winshield will seperate and it's not easy to get back together. Ater this happened to me I put 3m 4002 adhesive...
