[Question Answered - not going to risk it] Seafarer 228 w/ 7,000 lb towing capacity?

Make sure your trailer has brakes on one of the axles because speaking from experience that rig is a lot of weight to stop. I would prefer 4WD over 2WD based on all of the slippery boat ramps I've seen in Florida that show up on TheQualifiedCaptain Instagram page. And personally I would want a...

    Express 330 with 300s?

@luckydude do you have a link to the listing you can share? I'm trying to figure out if an Express 330 would be a good next step for my family as well. Also looking at the Express 360/370 as well as some of the larger Boston Whaler Conquest models. All of those are going to burn a LOT more...

Adding some info to this old thread for those interested... For the 2019 330 Express Grady-White added an extra layer of 2415 to the transom, doubled the arms of the transom brace, and went from double to triple welds on the transom brace arms. Also below is some advisory Yamaha 425 info for...

Hi All - I'm considering installing a Garmin or Simrad autopilot on my Seafarer. For those that have tackled this project before - where have you installed the pump and heading sensor? Any pictures would be appreciated. Thanks!

Installing Garmin 18 Fantom on my Grady white seafarer

Same boat, same radar, flush mounted, no issues. I've been able to pick up birds from a few miles away with the GMR Fantom 18 and it has saved my a$$ more than a few times in zero/zero visibility fog.

    Seafarer 228 Electronics

All depends on your personal preference and budget. The biggest factors forcing my hand in upgrading the electronics were: 1) I wanted radar and the boat didn't have it, and 2) I wanted to upgrade to a 1KW thru-hull transducer for the next fishing season here in San Diego. I replaced a Simrad...

    Seafarer 228 Electronics

It's actually 3/16" ABS with carbon fiber laminate available on Amazon here - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AMBA62S/ Very flexible and sturdy so we didn't have to use starboard as backing - just mounted on top of existing dash area.

I’ll take a picture of the backside next time I’m on the boat. They did have to trim out some of the existing dash to make the 10” screens both fit.
