    Electronics wiring question

Thanks - that makes perfect sense, and I'll keep it rigged that way.

    Electronics wiring question

On my 330, there is a suite of Raymarine instruments. One of the components was a DSM 300 which has been replaced with a CP 370 for driving the transducer. The wiring for the prior system had all the other components wired to the fuse panel, except for the DSM 300, which was wired to the end...

Electronics Upgrade Project - 330 Express

Moving right along. After glassing in the new core, it was time to do some filling and sanding. Couple of skim coats of filler and a bunch of sanding later it was time for gel coat. I applied white gel coat with a tiny drop of brown tint in it which was not a great match. The first coat of...

Electronics Upgrade Project - 330 Express

After glassing the inside it was time to start on the outside. Started with the initial layer on the bottom leaving room for a layer that would go around the corner. I had a bunch of 1708 mat and some much lighter mat. Used the 1708 for base layers and the thin stuff on top Once the...

Anyone with Toddler Life Jacket Recommendations

We used Mustang for our daughter from infant through her early teens. Having a convenient and comfortable crotch strap and the handle were pretty much musts, and Mustang seemed to fit well. We did try to get a local store to fit them first.

Electronics Upgrade Project - 330 Express

Over the winter, I purchased a set of Raymarine e127 MFD's from a member here. This post will document the process of removing the old units and replacing with the e127's. The former units were a Raymarine C140w and a Furuno L182 Fishfinder. The first step was to remove the helm pod from...

    '04 330 Express Repower

Looking at your numbers from the sea trial I thought "wow" that is pretty good for the 225's and is better than what I see with 225's. Reread and you are providing miles, and my data is knots. So about same. C'mon spring. Very curious in how the new ones perform.

    Electronics options

At a minimum a good MFD, and VHF radio, not sure why you'd need 2 screens if not a fisherman. With that MFD, go with a transom mount transducer. Probably a 12" screen. KISS. If you can't let go of the 2 screen idea, a pair of 9" would be plenty for a 23. Not sure what you mean by keep up...

    2005 330 F250’s

Perfect. Thanks for the information - that picture is the view I had been looking for as I get a center rigger off of the to do list and onto the done list.

    2005 330 F250’s

@twin yams What is the length of your center rigger? Looks like 12' maybe? It looks like about a 30 degree angle - do you find it gets in the way of casting from the rear deck?

    Dock Line Source

LOL sorry for not being clear. I made a mental note last fall that my lines needed replacing. The email came today, which reminded me that I needed to replace them. Of course, it would be a lot funnier to say that I was just telling my wife that I need to buy dock lines last night and big...

    Dock Line Source

Just had my reminder from a West Marine email that I need to replace the dock lines for my 330 this winter - where is the preferred vendor for these? Planning on braided lines, 5/8". Thanks

    33 Express Water Pressure

If it is a pentair pump, look into rebuilding it. Did mine last year and it was dead simple. I did call pentair with the model number to ensure I purchased the correct rebuild kit. Much easier than replacing the pump entirely.

Gangway to stern of 330 Grady Express

No, and I had posted a similar question earlier this year. Did not find anything that met the needs and was portable costing less than $1k

    330 Express vs 360 express

In my opinion, the 330 is not a trailerable boat. Mine gets moved 5 miles 2x a year, and it takes an 18 wheeler and large trailer to do it. Even at that, it dwarfs the truck and looks enormous coming down the road. I have a crew whose family has the 360, and he was very impressed at the...

    off season repairs planning.

I'd not want to paint myself into such a corner. Not too tough to imagine a scenario where a wave breaks just right over the boat, and fills cockpit with water...having multiple ways for it to exit quickly is good. Also, plan further ahead than a year or two - you might end up wet slipped again.

Do I suck or is it my boat?

IMO - your boat is closer to the carolina 25 in size, not the 28. I compare my 330 to the 28 I've been on for a sizing, though they both are completely different in how they handle. CC is better in a head sea, but I find the 330 more stable, and definitely much calmer on the drift. Knowing...

    Raw water wash down

Contact Grady support, if the manual online at Grady does not give you the information you need. Put boat on trailer. Open seacock, disconnect hose from inlet of pump and connect a hose to that tubing and try to force water through the hose in reverse. Does water come out the seacock...
