    Bahamas Crossing Safety Question

somehow my answer was a new topic, here is the other view:: IMHO I would fly them over, but for a combination of different reasons: a. water is fickle, you can play with the weather all you want but until you get into the stream you have no clue what that day is really dishing up b...

ANY FUTURE PLANS FOR A BIGGER EXPRESS THAN THE 36?

Nothing Else, I agree with you and Mega 150%, as I have consistently for years and years...... I love GW and I love outboards, I only hope that GW in the future can look to Intrepid and others and figure out how to blend some new features in their large express models (other than the butt...

    build vs buy

I bought about $150 worth of supplies at Lowes and built a 3x3x8' treated box in about 2 hours or so, complete with 2 locks and all hardware. Only had to cut some boards in advance, then transport the rest to the dock and with my 18 volt drill and screw head it was done and IMHO 300% stronger...

    another view

IMHO I would fly them over, but for a combination of different reasons: a. water is fickle, you can play with the weather all you want but until you get into the stream you have no clue what that day is really dishing up b. Bahamas customs process: it usually takes us several hours...

ANY FUTURE PLANS FOR A BIGGER EXPRESS THAN THE 36?

agree The TWO huge things that we always contend with are economy, trying to stay above .5 mpg, and living conditions on board. The GW line up is tops - bar none - for fishing, and except for a few things like larger fish boxes I could not ask for better. When we cruise however, or the...

ANY FUTURE PLANS FOR A BIGGER EXPRESS THAN THE 36?

larger GW's Intrepid and multiple others have really saturated the larger market for now, I would be surprised if GW went for a 40-42 ft boat in the near term. IMHO, there is a sizeable difference in larger GW models vs the competition, as theirs are generally similar length, more narrow beam...

Music choices - heading thru the pass.....

Man, you guys have provided more cool music than I ever thought possible Thanks so much I recently bought a number of the Mustang inflatables for everyone on board, we have plenty of Type 1 offhore vests with strobes and whistles and such in the overhead compartment under the hardtop, but I...

Whats your 2010 Special Event on your GW?

SmokyMtnGrady, I was sorta liking you until you mentioned that FSU thing, is that like a high school team or what? Oops, before I forget.... GO GATORS!!!! We have been to the Keys a lot over the last few years, let me know if we can swap info. We are really interested in the area north...

    I have got the Feaver...bad

you just described our usual days for the last year.... between NMFS closing all our good fishing seasons and the weather, I am actually in the process of changing what I fish for. Had a local tackle store doing their annual sale (totally awesome folks, tackle and prices) and I started...

Whats your 2010 Special Event on your GW?

We are looking forward to warmer weather for sure, so tired of all the cold weather and wind... We are looking at our 2010 schedule and planning, I'm really curious if anyone else is doing the same? We are thinking about the Big Bend area of FL, and looking for anyone that has been there...

Music choices - heading thru the pass.....

Man, I need to get my Itunes card updated, you guys have given us so much new content to add to the IPod and I think I am down to low $$ left on the download card. Which brings up a question: what we do is plug our IPod into the GW system and play thru the boats speakers, have considered...

Music choices - heading thru the pass.....

Spring is coming and I love to crank up the music as I head out of Destin Pass (or Govt Cut in Miami or where ever I am....), get the Starbucks going and everyone pumped up for a day of mega fun and fishing and laughing while we do all the prep work and get ready to fish... My favorite is...

    Remote Control Spotlight

sorry, two more comments; if you have radar, this is a great time to learn to read what it is telling you vs what you can see, and also, if in doubt, STOP. Radar rarely lies, but needs to be intrepreted as to what is sees vs what is really there. Idle, float, back up, whatever, but if you are...

    Remote Control Spotlight

Mine is on the hardtop, nice and high. I can get some reflection off the bow if it gets low enough but I try to keep it high and use hand held as needed for closer work. Never a problem in all these years. Friends have painted a high heat line across the base of their lens to reduce the light on...

GW customer service comes thru again

had a few minor issues lately with an older GW, but once again, GW service excels and EXCEEDS expectations. GW is awesome; my dealer, still in business but smaller, really is the pits, but GW fills the void the dealer left and provides exceptional support. Times may be bad but GW has never...

360 -330 owners - missing water in the bilge?

are you referring to one on the deck next to the engines, or elsewhere? I have been "down in the hold", ie, next to the seacocks and generator, but its bone dry. not even a cup of water next to where the hull plug comes in. thats why I am at a loss as to where the water is going, hopefully...

    Bahamas Insurance Coverage

I think most any insurance co will give you an exception for a week or so outside normal area without extra charge, I would ask that first before I go change

360 -330 owners - missing water in the bilge?

We have had an extremely wet winter, like 20+ inches of rain the last couple of months when we usually get 4-5 in. I noticed recently that I had water collecting on my bow when I washed the boat, did some tests and found that somehow or other I had tilted the boat in the lift so that water...

    question about potential purchase

150's are OK up to maybe 22-24 ft but would definitely want more HP above that, sorta like it will work, but not to your long term satisfaction....

    Dishwasher (I know )

Fisher Paykel, we have the two drawer model, smaller ones but easy to do a days worth of stuff without having to fill the whole thing up. Have had the dishwasher, clothes washer and clothes dryer from them for 4 years and will absolutely buy them again, just love the sizes and ease of using
