I basically have the same boat (1989 204) and launch out of Mantoloking since 2018. Its a great boat, Barnegat bay can be choppy, partly b/c windy and lots of boat traffic going back and forth. Hit up Tices Schoal for family fun. I've never been out of that inlet, but I hear it can be rough at...

Why not fix the trailer with the boat on it? You can still get to the hubs and brake lines. I once launched my boat at a marina, and they allowed me to tie it up along one of their docks. While the boat was off the trailer, I adjusted the winch stand and changed all the rollers on the trailer...

Got a Fisher off a guy from FB for $150. Was for a Parker 2110 but fits my 204c pretty well.
