I've used a bunch of cheap branchs + Costas, Ray Bans and MJs. For me the best has been Ocean Waves and by a wide margin when compared to all of the others. Had occasion to use their customer service and found them very cooperative and fair as well. YMMV

Acetone will remove any glue residue then depending on how long they have been in place you may need to compound or polish to remove the outline

stamoid I had new canvas made a couple of years ago and decided on cream stamoid. I think it is a little easier to clean and maintain and doesn't fade like the dark blue canvas will over time.

Vinyl Sea White is the closest I could find.

The bulb isn't really red- its clear with a red boot. If you are careful you can change the boot to a new bulb. The bulb should be easy enough to find. My boot melted a bit and I had a Grady dealer obtain one for me. The cover will pop off after careful prying in the small slot.

Where do you have the switch? I'll be installing a pair in rhe spring and haven't decided if I want to mount hte switch somewhere in the cockpit or at the helm.

The boat show season begins shortly. The NY boat show is 1/21 - 1/24 and I plan on visiting the Yamaha booth, hopefully along with other 225 owners, and asking about this issue. The more folks that do this in NY and around the country the more Yamaha may realize that they will need to address...

We just bought GE Profile - so far Admiral is very happy. Replaced a POS Maytag that was expensive and was a huge disappointment. We will not buy another Maytag anything, ever.
