    Raw/Fresh Water Washdown Plumbing

The fresh water tank is also connected to a separate pump for the sink in the cabin and the sink in the head.

    Raw/Fresh Water Washdown Plumbing

Given all the responses.........I think it's safe to say this set-up is not what Grady had intended. I don't intend on using the fresh water to fill the live well, however it does give me the option to have fresh water at the wash-down hose for a quick rinse after being in salt water!!

You got it Fishtails......and a check valve makes sense!

    Raw/Fresh Water Washdown Plumbing

See if the attachment makes any sense: 1) There is a valve inside the livewell to stop water flow. 2) If valve A is open and B is closed the Pump will be fed by Raw Water. 3) If valve A is closed and B is open the Pump will be fed by Fresh Water. This is how I assume it works...

    '95 Islander Fresh Water Pump

Did some more investigating.......... While trying to measure the voltage on the wires I discovered I heard a pump running when the "freshwater pressure" switch was turned on; actually found water in the head (came out of the hose I found disconnected). Going to assume all is well on this at...

    Raw/Fresh Water Washdown Plumbing

I have a new to me '95 Islander. During the off season I am getting more familiar w/ the boats systems. Has a raw water pump contected the washdown hose and the "live well". The raw water enters the hull and goes to a valve which is connected to a "T". One side of the "T" goes to the Pump and...

    '95 Islander Fresh Water Pump

    '95 Islander Fresh Water Pump

I actually have the owner's manual but can't determine where the pump should be or how it's plumbed. There are 2 hoses connected to the bottom aft of the tank. Can't really tell where they go, the hose I found near the faucet on the sink in the head is clear w/ a white crosshatch.....that's not...

Recently purchased a '95 Islander 268. Basically just enjoyed using the boat last season, purchased in July. Getting familiar with the fresh water system.....do not see a pump at the bottom of the tank, found a orange and black wire near the fresh water tank not connected to anything, found the...

    '95 268 Islander

Recently purchased a '95 268 Islander w/ Twin '95 Johnson 175's. VERY pleased with the boat so far having upgraded from a 241 Offshore. The islander has a 2-step swim ladder that sits in a molded section of the euro transom. Does anyone know if a 3-step ladder is available that will still fit...

    1995 268 Islander

Recently purchased the subject boat. i am very hsppy with it. I do have some getting used to though in comparison to my Offshore. The Islander seems to porpoise a bit. Have the twin 175's trimmed down a bit. Only using tabs for side to side adjustment at the moment. Any suggestions?

    '95 268 Islander

I said at a minimum. I only use it to launch a pull out at the end of the season and store. What would you recommend? 7300lbs?

    '95 268 Islander

So the 4660 is w/o engines? Don't plan on empowering right away. Has a hardtop.....no hot water heater.
