I installed my charger on the inside of the starboard side transom wall of my 232G. The transom is thick enough to allow some hefty machine screws to seat without penetrating the whole thing. I'll get a pic or 2 for you.

There should be a fresh water pump switch at the helm. Make sure there's fresh water in the tank. Turn on the pump, then open the faucet at the sink. You should get water out of it. If not, ensure the pump is good, fuse/breaker is OK, etc. It may take a short time if it needs to be primed...

I think you're all overthinking this basic problem and are making a mountain out of a molehill. Pull the liner all the way out, coat the outside with dish soap as a lubricant, then just push it back into the tube.

Just push it down into place, but ensure it's clocked correctly so the bevel is flush when it's seated.

You must have installed a heavier 4-stroke motor where a lighter 2-stoke used to live. I would be very wary of moving the motor vertically on the mounting holes, as this will most likely result in cavitation if the cavitation plate of the motor is not even with the running surface of the boat...

I hope the collar nut was tightened down....

Just be cautious with the Penetrol. I'd like to say there was a standard version and a marine version. I haven't seen the marine version in a long time, except online in Australia. I used the marine version on my 1994 228G duratrim about once a season, and it seemed to brighten the material...

If you add an AC unit, you'll need to install a genset. The batteries and an inverter won't supply enough juice to run it.

What are the chances that boat took on water as a result of the chine damage and visibly deteriorated genset? I'd start to look in other concealed spaces as best you can to see if there's any staining or other telltales of intrusion...

Lift up the access hatches or pop-out deck plates in the cabin, starboard side by the helm. The pump and reservoir should be there.

I agree with those who say the torque of the Suzukis is far greater than the Yamahas. On our 31 Jersey Cape CC, we have to run larger 4-blade props to handle the motors. Unfortunately, it's a trial and error process to get the boat dialed in.
