I have a 1988 seafarer 228G. And have a leak in the original copper steering line. Question is what size and length would I need to replace these to flexible hoses. Thanks in advance!!

Try looking at the hoses near the ram and at the helm. They may have the length printed on them. You can ask Grady as mentioned but it shouldn't be super hard to estimate a length. You should be able to get an accurate measurement from the ram to the rigging tube aft. Add the length of the rigging tube to the deck by the helm and then add the run from the pump to the rigging tube. That last measurement will probably be the hardest to get. You will probably need to remove a panel and/or deck plates to see how the tubing is routed under the helm.

If you match the size of the engine throttle and shift cables, you can’t go wrong. The length is printed on the cable about a foot or 2 from one of the cable ends. (Depending on how they were installed.)
