If you have the Airmar tilted element X-ducer just mount it anywhere that you have fairly easy access and where nothing is fwd. of it . This will help to insure "clean water " it's reading. Does the 272 Have x-ducer mounting flats in the hull? Grady can tell you if you don't have the owners manual.

Came on the site today to inquire about if anyone had went to 4 blade props on a 282 Sailfish with 200 HPDI's What brought this on was I found a "Hairline" crack on my CR prop starting at the leading edge and moving towards the hub . It was about .500 long and was not "open". I could not see...

pretty sure you're gonna need gunnel mount outriggers , google Lee's Skiff poles...... never seen any mounted on a Bimini top or Vista top (same thing btw) .

Can you post the name and model # of the gen. I'm pretty good at tracking stuff down . Somewhere somebody made the generator and somebody knows something about it...... Just a matter of finding them /it........

Not to sound like a smarty pants ........ but the first place I'd check would be with the manufacturer of the gen. What make and model is it?

If you have some mechanical experience and some type of workshop or garage, that repair bill can be cut considerably by derigging your motors and removing them yourself. Also re rig them yourself. It's not that hard...... usually the hardest part is just to get started. Any SeaV2 hull Sailfish...

just thinking of hardtop as out of the way .. Didn't really consider having to refuel it up there . that's truly something to ponder on. I'm sure it would hold the weight know problem . We've used it as a diving platform multiple times... :mrgreen:

A grease pencil and a ruler are your friends on this one .the grease pencil is to lay down some tell tell lines to work to . Oh don't start the beer til' at least one side is complete lol! Also I have some "OFFSHORE 24" cabin decals, and some grady-white logos for the port and starboard...

I'm not sure at what rpm's the alt's put out 45 amps. It's probably close to 4500to 5000 , maybe even 5500 ??? I was thinking of hooking it up to both motors though..... Probably not the way to go ,( the inverter) but just thinking of having some way to have a/c and heat on some up coming...

Thanks for the info . I hear ya on listening to the gen. running. My hpdi's are fairly quite and sip fuel at lower RPM's . Also on my Sailfish theres not really a good place to put a gen. I could get a honda EU2000 and put it on the hardtop or on the swim platform but neither really ideal . I...

Motors up to 12 ? without even knowing what motors you have I'm gonna guess twin 250 hp . They should turn up to somewhere over 5000 rpms each. Does the bottom look dirty ? it will be worse around the waterline. How long since boat has been ran, recently? Need more detailed info....
