    87 offshore transom repair question?

Pretty much ruffled grouse and spruce hens here. My last Britany was good w birds. Our current one (11) was a rescue so he's been gun shy. I just bust the birds myself now!

    87 offshore transom repair question?

I have some gelcoat cracks in mine. The fibreglass or rock solid underneath. I think the spray in is cheap.

    It's official - 228 is no more :-(

Interesting...I hope they continue to keep at least 3 walk around. I love mine and picked it for our family over a Freedom line so that we had the ability to boat for a longer season. In Northern Ontario on Superior we have lots of cold and windy days! They would be wise to keep the 208, 232...

    Yamaha 6Y8 Gauge Hour Meter

Thanks for the reply. Yes, sorry I was referring to the TACHs I believe the port TACH was replaced at some point as the backlighting is a different colour than the starboard tach. The tachs read the correct hours for the correct motor and both match the ECU hours as recorded on service. Wasn't...

    Yamaha 6Y8 Gauge Hour Meter

I can't seem to find what I am looking for on the google. My Yamaha gauges 6y8 are both functional yet I can't seem to get the hour meter to show on the port engine when the starboard ignition is in the ON position. If the starboard isn't ON then the port shows the hours without any issues...

Marlin 300 vs Freedom 325 for fishing?

Haven't been on either. You need to figure out priorities. For me I went from a 22' bow rider to a GW Gulfstream 232 as I valued the fishing capabilities more and I wanted the little cuddy for kids, storage and even the once and awhile overnight. I see the space on my Gulfstream as way more...

    Suggestions for second GPS/Fishfinder/Chartplotter Location

I am looking for some suggestions for what others have done with a second GPS/Fishfinder/Charplotter. My 232's dash has an old C120 in and and there isn't room for a second display in there at the moment. I'm not entirely sure I want the second unit in the electronics box, but am still...

    Heading home with my Gulfstream

Yes I agree Florida to Ontario would have been a very long haul with an F150,. The 500miles I drove is probably the most I will ever drive with this boat. Mostly it will be in/out at beginning/end of season in town.

    Help with trim tab anodes

I ended up just ordering some new Yamaha ones from the dealer. Aluminum. Then should be all good and I won't have any questions or worries!

    Heading home with my Gulfstream

At my camp it will stay on a boat lift (likely 70%) of the time and then I will keep it in the marina in town for the other portion.

    Help with trim tab anodes

Unfortunately I don't have the records for service in this aspect. Boat is new to me; hence the questions and lack of knowledge! I may try and pull off one of the trim tab ones and see. I can't see anything visible from what I can visualize.

Any Grady owners fishing the Great Lakes

I ended up purchasing a salt water boat as well 232's were pretty hard to come by in the fresh water. I saw one once, but it went too quick for me to act. Try to find a salt water boat with as few issues as possible. That being said, all used boats will have some.
