Guys, I am looking to install a stereo in my sailfish 282. I would like to know if 6.5 inch speakers will fit where Grady mounts the speakers from the factory on the sides of the bow anchor line storage locker, in the cabin. Also where are the speakers mounted in the helm? Any advice...

Bama When I installed a Garmin 545s on my old boat, Garmin instructed me that it would NOT pick up the signal if I mounted an internal antenna unit in the electronics box.

I do the same I take the ferry from Weehawkin and the walk is no bother at all. Plus the ride there is only about 15 minutes across.

Thanks Jack I know Grady installs their speakers there from the factory option just not sure if 6 inch will fit.

Guys another question regarding speakers on this thread. Does anyone have a sailfish and if they do have speakers mounted on both sides of the interior anchor line access panel. What size speaker can you fit there?

Same info do not run the motor on the hose alone!! The thermostats have a small weephole in them to allow water to pass through.

I believe that the 272 with 150s would be underpowered. The boat with motors falls in about 6700 lbs. Just dont see 300 hp being enough power to push this boat efficiently. Does the previous owner have any specs on the the power and performance with these engines?

Water pumps should be every 100 hours or 3 years and thermostats every year. The rest of the info should be from Yamaha itself online. Hope this helps a little.
