    Dual Console vs Center Console

Bob I have a galvanized trailer that has been nothing but trouble, I think its probably at the limits for the boat and until 2008 did an annual trip from Jupiter FL to Manteo NC. With trailering problems and lack of use down here (FL) combined with the $500/mo rack fee and trailer storage...

    Dual Console vs Center Console

My brother has a 225, maybe we should plan our NY family visit for the summer this time, then we can take it out for a day and get a real good feel for it that a sea trial would not give.

    Dual Console vs Center Console

Thanks for the replies, I have a 268 Islander with a Suzuki 300 on it now so I wouldn't give it up to go for a 226/228, what I would give up on the cabin, plus the increased cost would not be worth it and I'd be better off buying an aluminum trailer and an Excursion to tow it around for family...

    Dual Console vs Center Console

Just got back from the Miami Boat Show and I like the 230 and 257 while my wife prefers the 225 or the 275. Looking for pluses and minuses of each style - we've had a 180 and an Islander (W/A). I'd like to head offshore and hit the Bahamas, while also doing near shore and cruising. Thanks...

    New 23 Fisherman?

Same here, it would fly with the new Yamaha 300. Told the dealer to let me know when he gets one in.

    New Fisherman 230

    Anyone heard anything on pricing?

    Ed's Marine Superstore

Based on what you're looking for, they are probably the best deal. They post on THT and while people have had issues with buying boats from them with regard to options, changes in packages, etc. you are ordering a commodity item with no changes from their posted prices so you should be fine.

    Islander vs. Sailfish Power

I have a 2000 Islander that I repowered from a single 250 to a Suzuki 300 - difference is incredible. Much faster, quieter and more fuel efficient. I'll be listing it for sale in February after I bring it back down to FL from NC.

    300hp Yamaha experiences??

I have the 300 Zuke on my Islander and love it. Upgraded from a 250 SWS II.

    Splitting the difference

Twins are not an option on the 222. If she insists on a cabin, I'll stick with 2 boats and swap the 180 to NC and bring the Islander down here. Will just put a new trailer under it.

    SAILFISH RE-POWER-OPTION or NOT

I bought a used Suzuki 300 and repowered my 2000 Islander last year. Definitely a great engine.

    SAILFISH RE-POWER-OPTION or NOT

Mike at Outboard Specialties in Pompano will set you up with a pair of Zukes and take good care of you on service as well.

    Splitting the difference

Don't want to tow that much on a 1,000 mile round trip. Just had someone suggest swapping my 180 for a Bluewater 2350, hmmm.

    Splitting the difference

The 257 is the larger CC, the 258 Journey is the walkaround. If I was getting another cabin model, I'd give up on trailering and show her the 33 Express.

    Splitting the difference

I have a 268 Islander and a 180 Sportsman and have decided to sell both and get either a 222 or a 257, though my wife would prefer a cabin. Looking for anyone that has experience with both - I'd be trailering including a once a year round trip from FL to NC. Trying to weigh the advance of the...

    What Trailer for 272?

Call Steve East Coast Trailers Phone: 407.718.0066 Fax: 407.260.1005 e-mail: eastcoasttrailers@cfl.rr.com He's in Orlando but can set you up with a Loadmaster trailer - you could even save a few bucks by picking it up at the Loadmaster factory off I-75 in Tampa. He sold me a trailer for...

    Grady v. Scout

I believe the 232 is oversize on width for trailering. You should check with someone more familiar with them. That said, its a much bigger 23' boat than most, due to the width, so its not a fair comparison. You'd be better off comparing the Scout to the 24' Grady.

    1999 180 Sportsman CC

There have been a couple in FL on E-Bay recently - one sold for around $11k (?) and the other didn't meet the reserve. In the NE and with the hardtop, I would guess $15k to $17k in good condition.

Jeff at GW customer service does it again

I put a Suzuki 300 on my Islander as I was concerned about a performance loss going to a 250 4s from a 250 2s. Definitely a great improvement over the OX66. If I got an acceptable offer, I'd probably sell the boat and upgrade to a 330 Express and repower that with Suzuki 300s. Great engines.
