have a 2002 sailfish and the black rubber gasket that wraps around the base of the windshield (where it meets the fiberglass cabin structure) is causing black stains/streaks to run down the side of the cabin when it rains.....probably due due to the rubber's old age or from being constantly...

buddy has the dipped chain, and eventually little holes developed in the dip that allowed the saltwater to get in and rust the chain which leaked out and stained the deck.
My anchor chain is "bare" and it is banging against pulpit and locker.
Does anybody have a solution to this? I read another thread whereby a spray-on PVC coating or rubber sleeve might solve it....only need a length from the anchor to the anchor locker which is about 2.5 feet

i love my grady 282 but there is not much space to slip by the 2 pompanette chairs when going below.
Also, the armrests grab anything they touch including shirts and will jerk u back something quick and tear whatever u have on if u have to quickly go down to cockpit for a fish on etc.

i cannot find a separate "fuse box" anywhere.

What do u guys think about the "sure bail" float swithces (mine are blue in color) -- are they reliable etc....i've got 2 in my 2002 sailfish.
how can u test them manually to make them activate the pump? there's always a very small amount of water in the bilge but not enough to get sucked up...

ok thx....but if the fuel vents are beneath the fuel caps then that would vent fumes/overfills right into the bilge area under the deck--not good....wadda u think??
i think the water vent is located right alongside the water fill in the stern area.

I have a 2002 282 sailfish. Where is the fuel vent located?....my owners manual says the starboard vent amidships is the holding tank vent so I am a bit confused.
