    1995 27 Sailfish w/ Twin 200 Ocean Runners

I have the same exact year/setup. The motors are damn near bulletproof and easy to work on. I don't have a count on hours on mine but, they are getting very tired and hoping to get another season out of them. I love the boat. I cruise at about 28-32 and currently getting about 0.8mpg. I know...

    Removal of stove top ?????

Not sure what the Marlin is like but, I removed the stove from my 272 Sailfish. I know store Ziplock bags with paper towels and toilet paper under the old stove cover. Holds them in place nicely.

    Sailfish 4 Strokes

Are any of you running a 1995'ish 272 sailfish with 4 strokes? What kind of fuel efficiency numbers are you seeing? Were you close to sinking your scuppers?

    Battery Relocation?

Not sure I would have gone that route in your boat. It is a bad idea to have batteries in an enclosed space, especially while charging.

    Starboard Fishbox and Livewell Lids

Nice! Turns out my niece's husband has access to a large CNC machine at work. We cut the livewell, stern seat and fish boxes last week. They are getting the bullnose added today and doing a shark and tuna inlay on the fish box lids and American flag on the stern seat. We used 1.5" anti-skid...

    Sailfish Fuel Sending Unit

I want to replace my fuel sending units on my 1995 272 Sailfish. I am not near the boat to measure the tank/units but, called Grady. I was told I need a 17" sender for the main and 16" for the aux tank. Can anyone confirm this? I have seen a bunch of posts where people used 16" units. I don't...

    Starboard Fishbox and Livewell Lids

Do you have any photos? I was concerned about how to router the underside to site over the "seal" and create lip.

    Starboard Fishbox and Livewell Lids

Has anyone had their original fishbox and livewell lids replaced with starboard? A friend of mine owns a holster company and has a CNC machine. I was going to check

    Windlass - opinions please

GOOD brand out of NJ is probably the best. I picked one up at the end of last season. Working on getting it on in the time for bottom fishing season. Run the power to a starting battery since you will be running the motors when pulling up anchor.

    30" Motors on Jack Plates?

Thanks. What kind of damage? Do you mean on the lip of the transom where the aluminum cap is? Did the motors come out of the water like normal or did the skeg sit in the water?

    30" Motors on Jack Plates?

Are any of you running 30" motors on a 5" step plate, particularly on an older 272 Sailfish? I am entertaining getting newer to me motors but, the best pair I have found are 30". I have been told I can install a 5" step jack plate and it would work. Does anyone have firsthand knowledge? Thanks!

    Yamaha 200 HDPI's on a 272 Sailfish

Hello all. I am currently running twin 1995 200 Johnson's on my 1995 272 Sailfish. The motors run strong but, are very old and not very fuel efficient. There is a guy local to me who has twin 2001 Yamaha 200 HDPI's that are on a 26 Regulator that he bought with the intent to repower with 4...

    272 Sailfish FM/AM Radio Replacement

I was looking for a near direct fit replacement so, I don't have a large hole from the wired remote on the helm. I'd be interested to see what others have done.

    272 Sailfish FM/AM Radio Replacement

I have a 1995 272 Sailfish with original AM/FM head unit in the cabin with wired remote in on the helm. I am looking for a reasonable replacement without breaking the bank. I suppose have sound in the cabin isn't that important to me. I do run Garmin electronics so, I think they work well with...

    Microwave Removal

In my 272 Sailfish the microwave had "feet". There was a base plate that had 4 holes in it that the "feet" sat in. So, after all retaining screws were removed I had to lift the microwave out of the holes.

    282 Sailfish Groco Macerator replacement/conversion.

So, on the link that was provided where the pump is mounted externally; does it still have the ability to pump overboard?

    Windlass

Thanks! For some reason I thought the hatch cover for the locker would have to be secured. This makes sense. Thanks again. Since mine has the wiring can I assume the solenoids are installed and all I need to do is wire to a switch?

    Anchor Rope Storage Capacity?

Thanks! I think I know where you are speaking. It is the compartment that houses the water heater (at least on mine). I think there is an opening.
