Not sure what the Marlin is like but, I removed the stove from my 272 Sailfish. I know store Ziplock bags with paper towels and toilet paper under the old stove cover. Holds them in place nicely.

Are any of you running a 1995'ish 272 sailfish with 4 strokes? What kind of fuel efficiency numbers are you seeing? Were you close to sinking your scuppers?

Not sure I would have gone that route in your boat. It is a bad idea to have batteries in an enclosed space, especially while charging.

I want to replace my fuel sending units on my 1995 272 Sailfish. I am not near the boat to measure the tank/units but, called Grady. I was told I need a 17" sender for the main and 16" for the aux tank. Can anyone confirm this? I have seen a bunch of posts where people used 16" units. I don't...

GOOD brand out of NJ is probably the best. I picked one up at the end of last season. Working on getting it on in the time for bottom fishing season. Run the power to a starting battery since you will be running the motors when pulling up anchor.

Thanks. What kind of damage? Do you mean on the lip of the transom where the aluminum cap is? Did the motors come out of the water like normal or did the skeg sit in the water?

Are any of you running 30" motors on a 5" step plate, particularly on an older 272 Sailfish? I am entertaining getting newer to me motors but, the best pair I have found are 30". I have been told I can install a 5" step jack plate and it would work. Does anyone have firsthand knowledge? Thanks!

I was looking for a near direct fit replacement so, I don't have a large hole from the wired remote on the helm. I'd be interested to see what others have done.

In my 272 Sailfish the microwave had "feet". There was a base plate that had 4 holes in it that the "feet" sat in. So, after all retaining screws were removed I had to lift the microwave out of the holes.

So, on the link that was provided where the pump is mounted externally; does it still have the ability to pump overboard?

Thanks! For some reason I thought the hatch cover for the locker would have to be secured. This makes sense. Thanks again. Since mine has the wiring can I assume the solenoids are installed and all I need to do is wire to a switch?

Thanks! I think I know where you are speaking. It is the compartment that houses the water heater (at least on mine). I think there is an opening.
