Seems to be sitting a little low

When I had the tanks checked, the front tank wasn't usable but the back one was. I had it pressure tested and cleaned but I'm only using the rear tank. Could that be it? I'm concerned now that the bracket may be wet. The good news is that it's on a lift. If I can borrow someone's kayak, I'll be...

Seems to be sitting a little low

The bilge went off at first when I put it in the water, but I assumed that was rain water from the bow. I keep it on a lift. But then the pump stopped stopped. There was no water in the bilge at all. It was dry. Just the scuppers

Seems to be sitting a little low

First day out with my new 2023 Mercury 200 4-Stroke today. The motor is a dream. I’ve been restoring my 1988 Seafarer 228 for the past two years. When I took her out today, water was coming in the scuppers in the back on the deck. I’m wondering if it’s a bit too heavy? Underway she was great...

    ISO Old Seafarer Hardtop

I agree. I have a Bimini that will keep me out of the sun, but I’d prefer a hardtop all day long

    ISO Old Seafarer Hardtop

Thanks, I’m leaning towards a radar arch now. That a lot easier to find and install and it will accommodate rods, an antenna and it will give me stability when walking to the bow. I currently grab my Bimini frame now and I’ll eventually snap it off.

    ISO Old Seafarer Hardtop

I know that this is like trying to find a unicorn, but all I’m asking is if you come across someone parting out an old seafarer, please let me know. I found one guy but he wants $4,000 for the hardtop and that seemed a little pricey. I could probably get a custom one in that price range. Thanks

    ISO Fabric

I'm looking for some fabric to make cabin bolsters for my Seafarer. I have cushions, but I need side bolsters that match the fabric. This is for inside the cabin. It's the blue fabric that was used on a lot of Seafarers in 2005. I contacted GW but I thought I'd reach out on here also. Let me...

    Hull Question

I wonder how rod holders are attached normally?

    Hull Question

I want to add some rod holders on the hull under the gunnel. The only way I can think of to mount the rod holder is to use small screws. Does anyone know what length screw I can use? I have to believe that there is some space between the inner hull and the outer hull before I screw through the...

    Hardtop Swap

Yeah I’ve had many boats and this is my first Grady and first boat without a hardtop. I have a Bimini to keep the sun from burning my balding head and I have flush mount Lee’s outriggers on the gunnels, I think I’m gonna pass on the hardtop for this boat. I just bought a brand new 2023 Mercury...

    Hardtop Swap

All great advice. I’m going to pass. If anyone needs a hardtop, he’s in NY and is only asking $400. Looks to be in nice shape. He’s on Facebook marketplace.
