Live well over flow? To get back on topic. Did you try partially closing the valve? I noticed mine overflows as well but that was with the plug in and not the tube and the pump turned off. I didn't find the tube until I really cleaned the boat. It's under the leaning post bench pad. LOL...

Shut the intake valve at the bilge. I just bought a 2009 Release but haven't gotten it yet, Next Week. But I presently have a 282 Sailfish which is very similar. That has the same issue. It says right in the owners manual to keep the valve shut unless using it.

POE's is a 2008. I liked it but we couldn't come to terms on a price. I bought it from Port Harbor Marine in Portland, Maine. They made it worth the drive up there to look at it. I wish I knew how to post a picture on here.
