I had a 89 19' tournament with a johnson 150. The boat had pleanty of power. i think that a 120 would be a litlte under powered. I have a friend with a 21 striper walk around and he has a 120 on his and that boat is slow, he has to run wide open all the time... Good Luck, Lenny

My boat is in the water from April to Nov. I painted my transducer with bottom paint, and it was as clean as the day it went in. And it always worked without a problem. Hope this helps. Lenny

Maybe the bracket is for a fresh water pump. On my 01 228 there is a fresh water pump on the port side under the seat. Hope this helps. Lenny

It was a sad day today. The boat was shrink wrapped this afternoon. I had a moment of silence after it was done. I will be on my cousins boat for the next few weeks until he has to pull his for the winter. Next year can't come fast enough. Lenny

I used a product called ZEP mildew remover. I bought it from Home Depot. I cleaned the zippers on my Blue Canvas and they came out like new. I sprayed it on and let it sit a few minutes. Then i used a toothbrush on it. I then hosed it off. The mildew was gone and the color did not run. Total...

I own a 228 and have been on a 226. To me the ride is the same. I like the closed transom of the 228 compared to the 226. I also like the live well of the 228. The 228 is longer because of the bracket, but the cockpit is the same. Good Luck, Lenny
