raw water washdown 94 Adventure 208

thanks for the reply. We just return from vacation and I have a chance to play with it. You are right, there is a pressure switch for the pump. Placing the hose in the front part of the splashwell seems to work ok. I am either going to leave it that way or get one of those self coiling hoses. Im...

raw water washdown 94 Adventure 208

been meaning to ask this... I just purchased this boat. The system has a connection for the hose and the switch for it in the splashwell which I thought was rather odd. Is this the factory location or was this an add-on? I bought one of those white, lightweight hoses for it, I just coiled...

Thinking about buying this fixer upper...

depends on the price and your level of patience and the depth of your pocketbook. I think I would look around some for something else, unless he pretty much gave it to you. I voted on the $1000... we havent even addressed the trailer yet...

Thinking about buying this fixer upper...

another thing to do is take a handle of a screwdriver and start lightly tapping the transom with it and listen to the noise it makes. Should be sharp, crisp sound. Tap everywhere, expecially around any bolts or screws in the transom (and everywhere else on the hull) and listen for that tone to...

what to do with an old fixer-upper? FIX IT UP!

the other thing I saw no mention of, is are you sure all the ants are dead? Those things are nasty. You may need to get an exterminator to deal with them... one more thing... make sure you change the lower unit oil and your water pump impeller if it has not been done recently

what to do with an old fixer-upper? FIX IT UP!

I would worry more about the stringers and transom on it than the deck. You never know what those carpenter ants got into

    1994 Adventurer 208 w/ Johnson 200 fuel consumption estimate

thanks for the reply. Seems I am getting close to what you are. After installing the fuel flow sensor, I get about 10-11 gph at 22 mph. I did not run it a lot so I am not quite sure but this figures to be in the same ballpark as the feedback I have been getting on this motor from the...

    1994 Adventurer 208 w/ Johnson 200 fuel consumption estimate

Guys- I am wondering what I should expect for fuel usage for my vessel. a little background- I purchased this boat last week. The owner told me there was about 1/4 of a tank in it. My old boat had about 20 gallons in it so I decided to transfer some over. After about 10 gallons (using...
