Well, I went out and bought the Moeller oil extractor today. Holy crap....that is So much better than draining from the bolt hole!. Thank you all for enlightening me!

Anyone got a simple trick or use a product which catches the engine oil when draining a 4 stroke. I make a big mess every time I do it. What I really need is some sort of bucket that can hang off the back of the upper engine near the flexible drain tube.

I have a '91 Tournament and rub on a layer of Buff Magic by Yachtbrite. It's expensive...$25 a can, but well worth it. Buff Magic is like jewelers rouge, and it takes out the chalkiness without swirls. After that I use Collinite. http://www.shurhold.com/chemicals_buffMagic.asp

I have good luck with two products....FLITZ and BUFF MAGIC. FLITZ comes in a tube and they also have a sealer paste tube...great working product, but expensive. BUFF MAGIC is my current favorite. It works like jeweler's rouge, and alot cheaper.

My experience with skipsand is not as positive as the paint dealers. I purchased my Tournament new in '91, and the dealer applied skipsand, then the bottom paint. Every other year I applied two coats of ablative. After approx 10 years, I had big patches of paint that had flaked off, right...
