    Bait Rigging Table

The big question is, do I drill 2 big 2" holes for 0 degree rod holders to mount the new table??? Option 1. Mount table legs in 2 0 degree rod holders in back of transom Pros -table would be removable -2 more rod holders when removed Cons -2 big holes to drill -Maybe not stable - more stuff...

    Bait Rigging Table

Miller Marine has brackets that you could lower it up/down with their dog bones. Not cheap but reasonable for the quality. https://www.millermarineproducts.com/strong-arm-rod-holder-mounting-systems/strong-arm-rod-table-mount-in-line-kit/

    Bait Rigging Table

SeanC Thanks for posting those pics. I saw this same table in this video but couldn't find good photos. Did you see this badass video of the same boat in Australia?

    Looking for speakers

Boat speakers sound best when they are aimed at the occupants, which is hard to do in an open boat. For the use you have above I use Marine box speakers hung from my hardtop. They aim backwards and sound great in the cockpit. The major benefit is you don't have to make 2 giant 5" holes in your...

    Bait Rigging Table

I also am very interested in building a dedicated bait/work station with a drawer. I like the one above but it doesn't look like it's positioned right for ergonotics. Has 4 legs but you'd still have to reach out pretty far over the existing rod holders to use it. The australian one seems to have...

Transom bang cap: replace with ss, vinyl or glass it over?

Grady is definite not the only boat maker that has issue with the cap joint. Most use similar construction techniques. I've replace 6 or so outboards on all different boats and the cap has been an issue on most. Many times the old outboard was pinching the cap and whomever installed it didn't...

    Worth keeping? 83 255 sailfish

This guy on youtube got a similar boat in similar shape with rotten transom. Follow his series as he replaces the transome and tanks/stringers. You can get a preivew of what it takes to do series transom work. Hard worth but doesnt' have to be expensive if it's only transom.

Anyone have a cockpit mounted Fish Finder?

Thanks guys. So unfortunaly Garmin updated their Helm app to active captain or vice versa and now it's too new for both my old ipads. Also my 741xs doesn't have a transducer that works (i broke the end off). Only the striker which can't share that I can tell. So I could still run a tablet with...

Anyone have a cockpit mounted Fish Finder?

That maybe even better but I don't know if my electronics are compatible. I have a Garmin 741xs and a Garmin Striker Plus SV. Both have wifi. Will that work?

228: how do you keep stuff on the dash?

Use this Seadek Caddy: https://amzn.to/2ONLgYo For beverages, me and all my boat friends use this: https://amzn.to/3tEncGa No cans are allowed on my dash without this Toadfish. Works amazing, will hold a can horizontal on the dash.

New DIY Carbon Wrap Flush Mount Electronics w/ lock

Got the idea from an old thread on this board and since I was cutting a bigger whole for my 7" Striker Plus and wrapping the acrylic with carbon wrap anyway. Thought I should add 2 stainless ubolts and order some aluminum. Back is braced but I'm not going to show it. I fully know that someone...

Anyone have a cockpit mounted Fish Finder?

I'm considering mounting my old Garmin Striker in the cockpit for bottom fish and salmon. It's not really necessary but I have it anyway and sometimes the helm chair/glare/driver obstructs the helm mounted 7" unit. Anyone do it on their Grady? Maybe here on my boat. Or maybe on a fillet table...

How to inspect a Yamaha Outboard for mid-section exhaust corrosion?

I just saw a mechanic on youtube fixing his 2007 F250 corrosion with JB weld. I wish we knew why some are affected. Look up on youtube if you want to see the video.

How to inspect a Yamaha Outboard for mid-section exhaust corrosion?

Thanks for the pic guys. It looks like this area (below) is the area you would need a bending endoscope for. Mines not that long. Maybe I'll get an iphone one, they are cheap now. Endoscope camera for iphone: $35! https://amzn.to/38eiMxA

I'm thinking about making custom panels with a CNC machine I have access to. Wonder if there is enough business word of mouth? Would be a side business. Let us know What NEW Wire charges for lux matte. I see there site estimates $200 - $4000, quite a range!

How to inspect a Yamaha Outboard for mid-section exhaust corrosion?

Thanks for the reply seasick. I've done half of this when I bought it, had the entire motor on a pallet in my garage for 6 months with lower unit off. inspected with my Milwakie endocope, it's only 2' long. Didn't see those big corrostion marks "spots". The exhaust looked even black. But I...
