I have a 2003 228 and I wanted to know if anyone is aware if the metal fittings that are under the water line are grounded?? I checked them for continuity and I do not believe they are...

I think you're right. The Mercury engine is 32 pounds heavier and still fully tilts off the water...

On the 228 Grady has the main fuel tank dead center but as far aft as the bilge. Then there is a space in front of the main fuel tank for an accessory tank; another 45 gallons or so. They really need to reverse this and put the main tank forward as possible.....

I bet the salinity level has dropped relative to where it is docked now vs before. Someone else suggested this and it's a good call. Most of our boats are traveling in saltwater but are docked in bays that are fed by rivers. The salinity level is much different than full strength saltwater...

I have a 2003 228 with a 225 4-stroke and i love it. But when I tilt the motor up; it still dips in the water about 3 inches or so. Is there an adjustment on the engine tilt so that I can tilt it more?? This model is a bit butt-heavy because of the bracket, the 4 stroke and the gas tank is aft.

Parthery, I think you are right. What model Lowerence did you put in? Do you think you could have put in the next larger screen size and center it in the starboard?

thanks john. nice setup you have there. I'm hoping to get a 10 inch screen and an 8 inch screen to the right of it. Is your Furuno a 12 inch screen?

I'm looking to put a fishfinder and a separate GPS flush mount onto black starboard on the electronics box at the helm. The opening of the box is 17 inches by 7 1/2 inches high. I would like a 10.4 inch screen for a fishfinder and a slightly smaller screen for a GPS. Any idea if this will fit???
