    Replacement oil injection hose

Lime you're right-on with weedwacker hose. Some Yam jetskis had problems with the oil hose failing and that's what guys were using instead of OEM. I had carbed 200HP Yams with the same setup. I think those little clamps are fine with the soft pliable hose you're using.

'99 272 Sailfish Cockpit Base Molding

Yep, that's the exact same problem I'm having. It would kill me to drill a hole in the glass and hold it with a washer and screw. Going to continue to research this. Even if I decide to replace the molding with new, it will be a huge PIA job because I'll have to remove the old adhesive which...

'99 272 Sailfish Cockpit Base Molding

Sorry, this is the vinyl/plastic/rubber trim that goes around the cockpit where the sides meet the deck. The inside corners are going from 90deg to 45deg pulling away, looks like the trim is shrinking with age. Looks like they are glued and screwed. All the older Grady's that I've seen have this.

    Less expensive fuel additive

Thanks for this Dennis. Seeing you have one of those noisy, smoky, but paid for Yam 2-strokes; when fueling I'm sure you pull out all the measuring devices and bottles to add all the stuff we need to put in our tanks. I really complicate things because I rigged my engines for premix. I even...

    Window - rubber pieces

Don't think we're talking about the same molding Enough. Your Express doesn't have sliding windows like the Sailfish. Actually I was going to heat mine up slightly with a heat gun and try gluing it with RTV or Goop and hold it in with painters tape until dried. Whatya-all think?

No reply to this. Assuming Grady is the only source? Can't believe I'm the only one to have cockpit molding come loose.

Fuel Guage and Sending Unit Problems -Update-

Sending units for a Sailfish are definitely different for each tank. The aux tank has a much shorter unit.

I have the same problem Chuck. What did you wind up doing?

    AC on 282 sailfish

Ahill, why did you move your gen from the outside of the door? That seems to be the ideal location.

Fuel Guage and Sending Unit Problems -Update-

If you switched sending units and you're still seeing something weird on the gauge than it's the gauge not the sending unit right?

    2000 yamaha ox66 fuel

How many hours?? There's an 02 sensor on the motor that needs servicing every year. Do that, keep the fuel clean, run 2-micron filters if the boat is old, clean the VST every so often, and run the heck out of it.

    1995 272 Sailfish

Ok, my turn. The Ocean Pros were soon nicknamed Ocean Blows because of the oil pump failures. I really think you're on borrowed time until you disconnect the oilers and premix. Yea, it's a PIA but you got a world class fishing boat for a very good deal. Your fuel tanks are old and have seen...

'99 272 Sailfish Cockpit Base Molding

Searched and didn't get anything, which really surprises me. All the older Sailfish seem to have problems with this. Mine is pretty bad. The inside radius between the live well base and the rear seat base not attached anymore and I need to replace all the molding. Does anyone know a source...

    '99 272 Sailfish Gunnels

Yep, exactly the case. If your look at that model they show them mounted under the gunnel. It is a flange mounted speaker not gimbal mount. Looks like I need to remove a rod holder screw to get the depth. I'd really like to use 1" screw but the gunnels may not be that thick. I should call...

    '99 272 Sailfish Gunnels

Gents, Mounting Poly-Planar MA9020 speakers under my gunnels. The speakers get so-so reviews but I like the flanged housing that mounts flush. Mounting directly under my gunnels and don't want to drill too deep. Does anyone know the thickness of the gunnels on a Sailfish??

    Fuel Tank Sensor

A simple test is to touch both sensor wires. The gauge should go to full. Don't forget to turn the key on.

    Fuel Tank Sensor

Believe mine were rubber, and a little grease would never hurt.

    Fuel Tank Sensor

Very easy to overtighten screws and distort gasket. Snug only

    Fuel Tank Sensor

Wema is the name I was trying to think of. I do remember calling to get the sender with the correct connector. I replaced both sensors on my Sailfish and it was plug and play. Great product.

    Leaking toilet bowl

No, haven't touched it. Waiting to see if someone on the board has some experience with these matters. I've broken too many things trying to fix them. If this turns into a headache I may just replace it. Still fact finding, seems it's a very thin gasket.
