    live well pops breaker

Rule makes most of the pumps that Grady uses. When I ugraded the pump to an 800 GPH, I found out from a local machanic that it should have at least a 10Amp Breaker and that's what I went with. Fished for a week with the pump running 10-12 hrs a day and never had a problem. Just be sure that the...

    Gulfstream v. Journey

If you decide on the Gulfstream, Check in to getting Twin F150's. You can run on both and troll on 1 -- VERY fuel effcient that way. YES -- 2 can be twice the maintance, but everyone I've ever spoken with says they wish they had purchased the twins rather than a single. That 350 is a BIG ENGINE...

how much gas in my tank ?

Doesn't matter if you "Over Dose" with the Stabil. You can't hurt it. I use a product called "Stor-n-Start" works great -- either product is good. Figure for the maximum capcity of the tak and you can't go wrong. As for store it full or half or empty -- The jury seems to still be out on that. I...

    Power tilt and trim

BE SURE --- That you place the support tab in the Engaged postion before working on the hydraulics. This is the small tab that swings in to place to support the engine when raised.Check with a Yamaha mechanic or a Grady Dealer as to which oil to use.

I had the same problem with my gulfstream TWICE in the past 4 years. I ordered and replaced both the inspection and drain plug seals again this year. Mine is a GIL brand bracket. I did have a problem getting any amount of torque on the screws that hold in the inspection plate cover. The ring...

    Livewell pump problems

It may be corrosion in the wire ends themselves. Many times when you look at a connection, it appears to be clean until you bend the connection open slightly and see the nasty green stuff. I recently relplaced my livewell pump and put in an 800 GPH to replace the 500 GPH I also needed to change...

Trailer Guys - Warning About SS Hitch Balls

Thanks for posting. The ball is overlooked all the time. I rented a U-Haul trailer last spring and the guy that put the trailer on the ball tightend it so tight that it un-screwed the ball on the tounge. Everytime I made a turn and straighten up the trailer would turn the ball slightly. I got...

    live well pops breaker

You don't mention if you have recently replaced the pump. I upgraded from a 500 GPH to a 800 GPH and now it occassionally pops the breaker. The old draw was 2.5 amps and the new is 5 amps. I plan to replace the breaker soon.
