You should be fine. I also have an islander 268. It has twin 200 etecs. And has too much power if there is such a thing

The main tank in the 98 is forward. Owners manual has it reversed. I think the 95 is the same

Another consideration is if you have the aux fuel tank. That adds considerable weight and with the heavier motors might be an issue

I had an 87 overnighter and kept a bucket and rope in it or used it as an extra cooler by pkuging the drain. Mine never got water in it.

I have a 98 islander and dont remember the hoses looking that bad. It will be on my list to double check them in the spring. Im intrested if any other islander owners had this issue.

Also they run better with twins. Alot have 150 if your worried about fuel economy

Your best bet is the 268 islander. Some I have looked at had only I motor. Enclosed standup head with shower. Sleeps two comfortably and very trailerable with no oversized permit needed.
