Also remember a few model years of the 225’s had oil pan/exhaust corrosion issues. Plenty of info on this issue in the bloggosphere. My Marlin has had 250’s and been fine. I would not be thrilled with 225’s. And will repower with 300’s

What replacement arm did you use? And where did you buy it? ive been wanting to do this too

I like my 4 blades on my 300 Marlin, gives her heavy fat butt a bit of extra lift which helps hole shot a little but really helps me stay off the tabs too. Don't notice much difference in fuel economy/sweet spot/WOT.... Wouldn't go back.

I've done some research and I'll probably repower with Suzuki when the time comes... and go as big as you can is my two cents. Sometimes a little extra power makes a difference.

We do 8 day trips with 3 people on my 300 Marilin and sleep 2 full size gorillas in the Vee and one sasquatch in the "coffin", only getting off the boat to fuel at two places the whole trip. No problem if you don't mind a little footsie at night.

Blades need to be slipped on through the existing stainless arm. It’s held on to the wiper motor stud by an Allen screw. Not complicated, but I’m not sure there’s an easy swap.
