    I fixed my macerator!

Hey, thanks for the nice reply! No doubt, the non-holding tank guys are high-fiving themselves! Yes, the boat's right behind the house so I'll need to hit the switch every time that I hop on board. I guess that I'm lucky that it lasted this long! Mine's also a 2001 and that's strange that both...

    I fixed my macerator!

Thanks to you guys who gave me advice on how to tackle this job myself. I no doubt saved hundreds $$$$ and it really was not all that bad. Taking a look, I realized that I only needed to pull off the two hoses, the cap nuts and only two of the wires. The tank was 3/4 full BUT, I knew that it...

    Mounting Speakers

I mounted a pair of box speakers up under the gunnels. Under your gunnel, you should find a big 2 x 4 wood board or something like it. It's easy to screw in the speaker holders there......about halway between the rod holders. Take care to NOT use mounting screws that are too long! This kept them...

Express 360 vs 330 - would love the input

My Grady Trail went like this: 1) 1993 208 Adventure W/A with a 150 Yamaha. Bought it for $21,500 in 1997....sold it 5 years later (and 3 Bahamas trips!) for $18,000 to the first folks that looked at it. 2) 1994 252 Sailfish with 225 Ocean Pros. Bought it for $43,500 in 2002......sold it 4...

Express 360 vs 330 - would love the input

To my knowledge, no 360s have ever been sold with twin 250s. That would be severely underpowered. It's my understanding that they were originally offered with triple 250s and now twin 350s. One thing to keep in mind in the twin vs triple situation is that you will have 50% more maintenence...

Macerator pump on my 2001 Marlin is dead!

We pulled the switch panel out and checked that out and it was fine from there. Indicator too. We had 12V all the way to the wires on top of the tank. Thanks for your advice here guys. I'm going to tackle the job myself.

Macerator pump on my 2001 Marlin is dead!

I had a mechanic look at it (he was there for my trim/tilt motor problem!) and the first thing he said was "Make sure that you get it fully flushed and emptied first"! Haha! I told him that it hadn't been pooped in for over a year and that "what" was in there was mostly water........but I got...

Here's a photo............ The grocery bags have spare props in them for our Bahamas trips... What all is entailed in replacing a bad pump that is in the tank?

Macerator pump on my 2001 Marlin is dead!

Further research shows that 12v are going to the tank so it's not the switch and most likely the pump itself. Time for more research! We will be selling the boat later this year so I want to keep the repair to a minimum. Thanks for the link........ I'll read it now.....

Macerator pump on my 2001 Marlin is dead!

Tried to dump the holding tank the other day and when I pressed the two buttons, nada. It was with the entire DC system energized. I tried it again with a cabin light on and the light slightly dimmed indicating that power was probably getting to the motor. It has the two button control panel...

I need all 330 Express experts please!

On my 2001 OX-66 250 EFIs on my Marlin, I get right at 1.0-1.1 nmpg in fuel burn (at 24-25 knots) so if I move up in size and weight, yet my fuel burn stays the same, I'm happy! Plus, I won't be burning $20/gallon Yamalube anymore! I'll track down the AirCond Y-valve thread as that may be an...

I need all 330 Express experts please!

How have the Fisher-Panda gensets been? Problems? Easy to service? We were at the Palm Beach Boat Show yesterday and we gave the 330 a close going over one more time. We found out that some folks have plumbed in a Y-valve into the mid-berth AC ductwork in order to divert that air cond up and...

I need all 330 Express experts please!

This year will mark summer #6 for our trusty 2001 Marlin the HEY MON! We've highly upgraded her since we bought her in 2006 and enjoyed many trips to the Bahamas as well as local fishing trips, cocktail/dinner cruises, etc. But, we're ready for 4-strokes, a bigger, wider & heavier boat as well...

    OX-66 Trim/Tilt is dead!!

Port engine trim/tilt motor will not run from any of the three switches. Engine starts so it's not the battery. When I push the DN side of the switches I can hear a "click" but only then. Ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance.........

    Fixing the Ongaro Horns

Yep........ Those things are crap and I don't know why Grady puts them on........ Mine failed for the umpteenth time a few years ago and I now keep a portable blaster horn near the helm to keep me legal and in case I need it. When I get ready to sell, I'll replace the Ongaro crap one last...
