Poor Grady-White support for older boats.

I have had several interactions with GW customer support for my 2003 all of which are completely counter to yours. But I'd be shocked if they have had a single fabric source or vinyl source for every model in every year. Colors change, vendors change, etc. Matching vinyl that has been in the...

    Repower 330

@Flot followup question: what would going to the LCD touch screen provide that the plain ole gauges won't?

Cup Holder Replacement 1995 Tournament 192?

I understand we all have priorities, etc. but if 120 bucks for 6 cup holders is too much, perhaps boating is not for you. How much less then 20 each are you expecting to find replacements? at this point, anytime I can get something done on the boat for under 1k, I’m thrilled. I want to...

    Repower 330

Many thanks. that space on mine seems to be occupied by the windlass controls. Not 100% sure there is room next to the drink holder. my screens are raymarine, not garmin.

Any chance of a picture of how you added the LCD screen?

    Repower 330

At this point, I believe I'm set and will be hanging 300's over the winter. Going with Digital controls, but not digital steering - as I have zero need for a future joystick, and the sea star works fine. The other question I had, is also resolved, as we will be going with the updated version...

Sea Water Wash Down - 2007 Grady 360 Express

FIrst is to open the seacock for the washdown. Second is to hit the washdown switch. Not sure where either are located on the 360, but in my 330, the seacock is under the midberth. If it still does not work, it's time to find the pump and break out a multimeter.

    Repower 330

Thanks for replying. I have spent a ton of time here and with Google looking for information, and have found multiple references to people who have contacted Grady for this reason, and have zero reason to expect that I'd be the first one who was officially told it was ok. I have found others...

    Repower 330

Have a 2003 Express 330 which is going to be repowered this winter. I'd love to go with 300's, but as the hull is technically rated for 500, the dealers I've spoken to are hesitant/won't install those. I know a bunch of others have gone with the 300's on the older hulls, and I'm wondering how...

    Newport Boat Show

Anyone planning to attend? We are going to be there Thursday and Friday, hopefully well ahead of Lee. Hoping GW brings something OTHER than the Freedom models.

    REPOWER

What is being left out of the equation when thinking of swapping boats - all the transaction costs of selling existing, and buying another boat. Assuming a broker would be involved. Also, you already know your boat, and it makes zero sense to sell if you are buying the same model again, as you...

To repower or not...2004 282 with dual Yamaha F225"s

Sadly, I'm in the same situation you are...but one of mine needs work. If both of mine were running, I'd not be repowering right now. My dealer did mention that one could get the new 250's and use with manual controls, which is a significant savings.

    Sailfish 272 with waterlogged foam?

The motor may not be getting sufficient fuel to do any more than the 5k. The restriction prevents it from going full throttle, and prevents it from getting full power from a given RPM particularly under load. Ever been down a cylinder - similar performance can result.

    Sailfish 272 with waterlogged foam?

It's your money. Obviously we can't convince you that it is not weight that is your issue. Your assumption that the motors are doing their job is not accurate. I'm no expert, but anytime I've been in a situation where troubleshooting is needed, rule of thumb is to start with the...

    Sailfish 272 with waterlogged foam?

With it being both engines - for it to be prop slip, would not the same change have to have happened to both props? It is most certainly not weight, as several of us have pointed out. If there was so much extra weight to impact performace to this extent, the scuppers would be below water...

    Sailfish 272 with waterlogged foam?

A bit of a pain with twins, but get a couple of external 6 gallon fuel tanks, and connect them as directly to the engines as possible (avoiding fuel lines and filters upstream of the motors). Run the boat on the portable tanks. This will at least eliminate a clogged inline filter, fuel line...

    Sailfish 272 with waterlogged foam?

100% agree with this. Engines don't like to sit around. Injectors or filters. I don't know what there are for filters on an etec, but this screams fuel issue to me. As a totally unrelated data point. When my underpowered 330 is light, it only gains a couple of knots in speed compared to a...
