    New REBEL Prop from BRP

BB, it was the 2006 200HO 3.3 block. Never heard of the Cyclone. Do you have the RPM-by-RPM performance stats for that prop on the 22 GW and was it the CV2 hull?? I did all the slip computaions for that setup for all three props. I would love to compare the numbers.. Thanks.

    Fuel Management system - suggestions?

Re: Fuel management system - suggestions That is an excellent guage you put on your rig. It was the old Navman Fuel Flow guage that Northstar took over. If I remember correctly, it come set for 'Imperial Gallons' right out of the box so you have to change that for it to read U.S. gallons...

228 - Water in forwardmost compartment

That area should drain all the way back just past your gas tank bulkhead.

thickness of starboard for flushmounting electronics

I did mine w/ 1/2" Starboard black. Beefier so when I take them with me it would hold the weight better and not flex. 3/8" was my second choice.

    New REBEL Prop from BRP

Last fall I 'tested' the Rebel 17 pitch prop against a Viper and a Stelltto one on a 22' Grady. The fuel economy, prop blow out, and 'slip' numbers were the poorest using the Rebel. Very much to my surprise. Just food for thought.

Question: Enjoying 2-3 foot sea days

The 232 has same cockpit size as the 258 and has a wider beam.. I think the 258 for what you want to do may be overkill. The 232 is in a different league than the 228...period. But the 228 is without a doubt is a very nice hull. I would advise that you ride both of them before making your...

Question: Enjoying 2-3 foot sea days

How big do you want to go..?? I would start w/ the 22' or 23'. Both of these hulls are night and day when compared to one another. Depends on what you feel most comfortable with.

    Windless for a 228 G Seafarer

Works like a charm. I cleat off the spring cleat when I do it but guys also use the stern cleat. Just motor forward of your anchor off 30-45 degrees then both the ball and the boat will bring your anchor to the top. A limp anchor line is way easier to bring in by hand than one with load on it.

    Windless for a 228 G Seafarer

J-cubed: Thanks for the reply and links. I use an anchor retrieval system to get that anchor back up. Here is that link: http://www.boatersworld.com/product/159290014.htm Windless was on my mind for a long time before but never happened. Your system would be a nice addition. Stay...

    Windless for a 228 G Seafarer

Re: Hand power I always thought that would be a good idea. Saw a commercial bottom fisherman rig his Parker this way w/ a two anchor setup. Do you have a photo of how you rigged this up..??

bay son: Thanks for the reply. That comes out to around 2.57-2.67mpg at cruise which in my view is exceptional. What is your cruise Rpm #..?? Which pitch prop did you settle on..? Where does your WOT put you..? Using my #'s for my old 250 Yamaha, your effeciency w/ the new motor...

    What Did You Use ...

Sorry... but the rubber Grady uses to set their tanks in is not the primary cause of tank failure. Allowing water to get in compartment in the first place is the primary cause. 8) Whatever medium is used to 'set' the tank in there is your choice but Grady apparently still recommends what...

    What Did You Use ...

Check what you take out from your tank. If I remember correctly it was 2" wide by 1/16" thick black rubber. I know a Grady dealer local to me had it but I got a role of it from a local rubber supply house and it matched exactly.
