I know you did a lot more research on this than I have, what are you using for weight - I used 7000 lbs and the Suzuki gear ratio is 2.08:1. I think I either have more slip that that or I'm doing something wrong. I bought a Suzuki 16x18.5 and I'll see how that does.

The Suzuki 300 is installed and running a 19" Rev4. Right now I'm way low on rpms - 5500 and about 31.5 knots but with the engine trimmed all the way down. I'll re-run with it trimmed better but the installer tried to match the Yamaha height. I'm wondering if it should be up a notch. Any help...

Mine is 1 year old with 186 hours so its not a fair comparison on cost. After deducting the sale of my OX 66 250, the net cost is about $9500.

Aluminum strip removed and fully glassed over, faired and gelcoated. Now the rest of the hull needs to really be buffed out.

Looking forward to getting some use out of it. With the increase in performance and fuel economy it might make a trip to the Bahamas more palatable. The bracket is for a Suzuki 9.9 that I'm doing some maintenance on, no sense getting rid of it since I have it.

Based on everything I've read, I'd seriously consider having a new boat surveyed. Hourmeters don't necessarily have to be connected but the engines should be able to connect to a computer for printouts of hours including hours within rpm ranges.
