Grady White Seafarer 226 for sale

I'd copy the Facebook Marketplace link and put it on here, or a Craigslist link might be easier since not everyone has Facebook, and so that those who are on here as well as interested can look at a few more pictures of the boat. Either way, good luck with the sale.

    2006 228g Seafarer Value

Part of it depends on where you're looking... east coast prices are typically much less than they are out here in the PNW/Seattle area. Like I said, I bought my boat for $26.5k and have seen 3 nearly identical boats to mine sell since then for between $55k-$65k. As mentioned before, a total cost...

    2006 228g Seafarer Value

That seems like a steal of a deal. I bought my boat, a 2004 Grady White 228 Seafarer with a 2004 Yamaha F225 on it @ just under 1k hours and a 2009 aluminum I-beam trailer back in October of 2021 in Maryland for $26.5k. As long as the boat and engine checks out, the outboard doesn't have the dry...

Potential Buyer - Tell me about Grady moisture issues

So what was the culprit behind the transom needing to be replaced?

Potential Buyer - Tell me about Grady moisture issues

I would agree with the above statement about how some models will have more of an issue than others will. Unless the boat has damage to it, I imagine that boats like the 228 Seafarer and 232 Gulfstream with their enclosed transom and transom bracket on them are going to have considerably less...

Coast Guard documentation for Gulfstream 232?

Indeed... it's definitely a bigger brother to my 228 Seafarer, though from what I've heard it still seems very manageable operating/trailering on your own. I looked at one that Jacobsen's had for sale years ago and while it was a nice boat, it was a bit wider and bigger of a boat than what I...

    248 voyager with 2002 Yamaha f225

I had an Optima red top battery in my 1965 mustang fastback, of which I bought the battery back in 2008 and it worked great until just under 2020, or over 10 years and it was a great battery. That being said, I've heard from several people on the vintage mustang owners forum that have since...

Coast Guard documentation for Gulfstream 232?

That would depend on the dealer, their location, the kind of fishing/boating that's done locally, weather and so forth. Myself living up here in the Seattle area can definitely attest to the 232 Gulfstream, and walkaround model boats in general, being the vast majority of boats used up here. For...

    WTB: 209 Fisherman (2011-2017)

Another option that you might consider would be moving up in size to a slightly larger boat that is more readily available... as it seems like the 209 Fisherman in the years that you're looking for and without bottom paint is almost like spotting a unicorn.

    Time to Purchase

I imagine the spring and summer would be the "peak" season for selling and is going to likely be the time of year where the seller will get the most money for selling their boat. That being said, it really just depends on where you live and where you're buying the boat from, if they have...

    248 voyager with 2002 Yamaha f225

I've got a 2004 Grady White 228 Seafarer with a single 2004 Yamaha F225 on it, of which I replaced my batteries on it in the fall of 2023 with dual Interstate brand 24M-XHD's and haven't had any issues with them. Before doing so, I talked with my local GW dealership of which they said just get...

    another Prop help thread

Attached below is the Grady White performance bulletin for a 208 Adventure with a single F150, in which they used a "14 1/2 X 15 Reliance SDS" prop for their test boat and got a top speed of 40.4 mph @ 6,000 rpm. I'd maybe start off with a prop more similar to those specs, though a quick call to...

    Grady 205 with 3.3 f250 cant hit 50mph

Not exactly an apples to apples comparison or anything, but I've had my 2004 Grady White 228 Seafarer with a hardtop, bottom paint and 04 Yamaha F225 on it up to 44-45 mph several times before. As stated, boat has bottom paint on it, around 1k hours on the motor, unknown on the pitch/size of the...

powering a GoPro off the boat battery?

How many hours are you out on the water and wanting to record? I've got an older GoPro, which I bought a second battery for, they're about $20 on Amazon, and each one will last about 90 minutes. The two of them combined will total about 3 hours of video recording, of which I rarely fish for more...

    Starter help!!

I had a similar issue where it ended up being a bad connection. At the end of the season in 2023, I went out and took the boat off the buoy for the year and it wouldn't start. Replaced the batteries, brought the boat in without any further issues. Next season in the spring/early summer of 2024...

2004 GW Express Crusier Buzzards Bay

First of all, it seems like you're being a bit more confrontational here than I ever was. Second, I'm not sure what kind of crap you're referring to in regard to my comments? I thought my comments were very neutral and even gave the OP a good deal of advice by suggesting to him that he should...

Bow rails on walkaround with outboard on an extended bracket

If you have a side dock, are they not able to climb over the gunwale and onto the dock that way? I think that would probably be the easiest and safest way of going about doing it. If not, there are lots of guys who use an electric trolling motor up front on the bow and cut the bow rail...

    232 Gulfstream being discontinued

I'm assuming it must be a lack of sales thing, as I can't imagine they'd discontinue a model that's been around for almost 40 years now, especially if it makes them a considerable amount of profit/sales every year. Which is interesting because I see 226/228 Seafarer's and 232 Gulfstream's quite...
