Went back and looked at the repair slip and the shop told the previous owner he should replace both. Owner refused for some reason three years ago. The one set replaced described as a cut (split) and serious rust. More to come.

Never had a boat with painted bottom. Been reviewing options on best method to clean bottom and scum line. Most Vermont power boats are not painted. Not sure I have found anything yet and wanted to reach out to those owners having a painted bottom. Tips?

I am not on an official Great Lake, but on Lake Champlain I troll with one of my 150’s and a trolling bag and get down to 1.2. Switch engines next time out. Great for Lake Trout and if I remove the bag get up to salmon speeds.
