    Orange fuel/Water?

I think it’s worth investing in a small 6 gal fuel tank to run engines on fresh gas while working on the old fuel tank. When I was trying to get rid of old gas, my marina wouldn’t take it, even though they dispose of oil, because gas is more combustible. The harbor master said to put the old gas...

What is a 228 windshield worth?

I think the issue you may run into is that it’s unlikely to sell anywhere except CA. Shipping would be a challenge otherwise. And so, a limited market of potential buyers. May be a needle in a haystack to find the right buyer. Maybe a trade might be an option.

    PSA: check your anchor bolt

Personally I would try to find a different swivel to limit the chances. Then use a shackle with monel seizing wire like family affairs picture there is this one from WM.. i think on my rig is a swivel with no bolt… will check if i can find… tbh i think most anchor setups I’ve used didn’t...

    270 Islander Rebuild

I suspect that whoever did your canvas could just replace the shock cord/bungee and restitch and you’d be good to go. Looks like the nets themselves don’t have holes

    Benchmarking 2000 272 Sailfish Prices

Start high and see how the market reacts if you aren’t in a rush. It’s a big boat, and there’s a limited number of people looking for a boat that size and use. What’s the condition of the transom? That will be the first question. Have the fuel tanks been replaced yet? I’d say the market has been...

Yamaha 175 2stroke- Hard to start.

Wouldn’t hurt to try a seafoam treatment as well. When you say carbs and bowls were drained, were they cleaned at all? Next time you get on the water and started up, run with full throttle for several minutes to try to blow out any carbon buildup.

    First boat

My recommendation is to go to various marinas and dealers, chat with people, listen to local advice and see if you can take a look at some local Gradys in various models. What style of boats are most common where you are? Basically they have the bow riders, center consoles, and walk around...
