I have an email into GW right now on some replacement cushions for my soon to be acquired boat. If I recall, everything has to be ordered through a dealer.
Guess I should read the boards more, I've gone back and forth about selling my Islander and its right near you in Manteo. Has a 2007 Suzuki 300 on it.
Congrats on the new boat, sounds nice.
Need to play with props more but fuel economy is up substantially and top end is now around 40+ mph vs 35-36 before with the single SWS 250. Economy seems to be up about 50% but I haven't been on the boat since July. :(
I have a 2000 Islander (hull extends to transom) with a Suzuki 300 and am very happy with the set up. IIRC, I was getting about 28 knot cruise at 13.5 gph using the Suzuki 16 x 18.5 prop.
Looked at a new Sportsman 180 and Tournament 185 yesterday and was promised by the dealer they could modify a trailer to work as they have done so in the past.
After measuring the garage, I will need to heavily modify the trailer if I buy a Sportsman 180 to get it in the garage. I am going to have to shorten the tongue and then add a folder coupler as well. Has anyone done this?
Thanks
Greg
Pulled me up no problem (200 lbs) but the wake was an issue though conditions were not great to begin with. Teaching the kids was tough. We had other adults on board so I stayed in the water to teach.
I put a Suzuki 300 on my Islander and will be testing props over the next couple weeks - so far cruise in up to about 28 knots at 13.4 gph and top end is 33 knots.
