Yep. If you don't have a fix, it could be the problem. Fairly inexpensive as boat things go to replace and eliminate the receiver.

I think I'd get some prices for the repower as well as look at the used larger boats and determine the spread. 1300H on the hull really isn't much and for that matter on the engines either. Comes down to cost delta, affordability for you, how much do you use the boat and do the extra features...

Water will go into the bilge or worse cabin. Rail mounted is the way to go. You will find you don't use them much up there. Keep the space for spinners.

It works ok on heat, you're not going to get blasting heat but it will slowly raise the temp in the cabin. I have a small electric heater that works fine for the few times I need it as the cabins really are not large areas.

These are the ticket. The plastic GW ones lose their effectiveness as they wear.
