    2016 GulfStream 232 windless install

I like 5/16 chain, partly because it makes a smoother transition for the gypsy to start swallowing the 1/2 inch line and the extra weight of the heavier chain helps the anchor set, but if the splice is made for you and it runs through the gypsy well then you're good to go.

    2016 GulfStream 232 windless install

Your chain to rope splice is going to be tight trying to splice 1/2 inch line to a 1/4 inch chain link. 1/2 inch line likes 5/16 chain. I normally pair 3/8 line with 1/4 inch chain and 1/2 inch line with 5/16 chain. The gypsy is easily changed out if your dealer will let you exchange the 1/4...

    Gulfstream trailering ?

That's the best idea, especially since Home Depot and Lowes rent trucks for cheap and they are everywhere.

    Gulfstream trailering ?

My opinion is, you will be fine. Short distance, very seldom use, you should be fine if you keep your speed down. The extra width is usually not noticed unless you have to cross some scales on your route. To make things as good as you can, make sure there is disc brakes on both axles. If money...

    GPS Antenna ?

Same as Coastboater here. Just connect your Garmin to a NMEA 2000 system and all your other instruments will be able to make use of it. Like your VHS, autopilot, or any NMEA 2000 capable gizmo.

SE Hydrofoil on GW Adventure 208

Yeah, I see an air-foil on the tailgate of a pickup every once in a while and I always figure he has foils on his outboard too. I would imagine he would also wear a cape when running a 5K. :)

    Gulfstream shopping.

Every guy would love to drive something with the get-up-and-go of a Corvette, but a Chevy Cavalier will get you to the grocery store. Grady put out hundreds of Gulfstreams with the 225 and they wouldn't do that for years if it flat didn't do the job. It's all about money balanced by your desire...

Do you know your buttock location?

All I really know about Lofting a boat is that I should not worry about those Buttocks that belong in a designer's head but worry about just paying attention when my buttocks is in the captain's chair. :)

Do you know your buttock location?

Yes, that's what I envisioned also. Then as each of those lines progress forward they start curving up to form the angled bow.

Do you know your buttock location?

Now you're getting in to lofting a boat. My mind has trouble visualizing all the relationships of the different lines involved, but the Buttocks are lines that run parallel with the keel at a given constant distance from the keel and as they go forward, they curve upward. There will be several...

    Fuel level measurement

Holy crap! I bought my first boat in 1962 and have been using a fuel gauge all this time and have never run out of fuel at sea! I must be running on borrowed time. That settles it, I ain't going out there again!

    Fuel level measurement

The best way to go for accuracy/dependability is to purchase sending units from KUS. They, along with your new gauges will relieve the stress level for you when you need to know for sure. They are available from many vendors. https://kus-usa.com/product/sss-ssl-sender/
