Mine sits on roller trailer and roughly 10ft (give or take a few inches) at center console windshield bar.

That last picture looks familiar (like mine). Unfortunately, the wood will never dry out and if you are in a climate where it freezes then the freeze / thaw cycle will continue which I'm sure caused the gelcoat cracks to begin with. At some point the transom will need repair or replacement.

I paid $6500 to have mine redone. Like you, i am attached to my boat and also figured I'd rather not try to buy new (with today's prices) or buy used and get some unknown problems. I posted some pictures in a thread below started by ifishfortuna. That will give you an idea what the inside of...

I concur with what Fishtails posted above. I just went through a transom replacement on a 99 180 and I only had one of those cracks in the gelcoat on the starboard side. I wish you luck, but unfortunately I believe the entire transom in need of replacement judging by those pics. - Bob

Just completed transom replacement on my '99 180. Estimate was $6500-7000. Haven't gotten bill yet but so far pleased with outcome. For me it was worth the cost to stay in my current boat I've owned since 06 rather than buy new or buy someone else's boat with unknown problems. Edit 2/4 ...

Looks like a nice boat I just wonder if the 208 with a hardtop would be underpowered with a 150?

Definitely agree with transom and fuel tank concerns from above. Also, the SS150 is a great motor but wonder if the 209 is underpowered? If it were me nothing less than a 175 for that hull. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
