I have 4 hatches with gas spring pistons. 2000 272. 1 is weak, shot, will no longer hold the hatch open on its own. Need a new one. Contacted Ameritool (decal on piston), they told me to contact Grady. Anyone have a part number for me?

My 272 is missing the center backdrop. The rest looks original in good shape. It probably was not on the boat all the time. From the Grady website I tried contacting everyone on their list. I figure they can make a single original piece that will fit right, assuming that is why they have a list...

Added my back up pump set up today, completely independent. Always have to have a back up venturing offshore.....and at the dock in our absence.

Have a 272. Is the forward bilge connected to aft bilge or is there bulkhead (or other obstructions) separating them? It is too cold out for a water test to find out at this time.

I always need a back up plan. Not comfortable having only 1 house batt. Anyone add a 2nd one? Looking for a good place to put it and wire it to the other house batt via an ACR for charging.
