Thanks for those additional details. What type of bracket did you use to secure it when stowed on the port side? Do you happen to have the dimensions of the mounting plate that you created?

@Matman , I am planning on getting this installed this winter. Can you provide a couple more pictures of the top of the trolling motor and how you secured it as well as one of the mounting plate? Did you mount this so it could be removable?

Thanks, but I am talking about the rear stern seating next to the engine. The newer back cushions seemed to be twice the height of my originals.

Does anyone know if the newer higher style rear seat back will fit the older model 208's?

The glue that attaches the vinyl headliner to the backing is finally separating. How does one remove the headliner so I can properly fix the issue?

The shop did not run my lowrance data cable to the engine. The shop tech said that the tube is really full. Do I have to disconnect the ringing tube and straighten it out to pull another cable through it or will I be able to thread it through, maybe using the speed tube to pull it?

The dealer tested the boat with the engine mounted on the 3rd hole with the 17P prop and got 45 mph at 5800rpm. Others seem to like the 15P but the dealer is not recommending this one for me. I will post some pictures once I pick it up.

I plan to utilize a rigging tube for my new motor. Does anyone know how to interface the smaller boat end rigging grommet to the splash well to cover the older larger rigging hole?

I just got the stainless for the bang plate installed. It was a piece of 16 gauge 304 2b mill finish bent at a 90 deg angle. I buffed it out before mounting. I paid $36 for the stainless and bending.

Grady got back to me and said that no longer sell the AL bottom. I has been replaced with vinyl purchased by the foot. I think I will get some SS off of ebay.

@trapper, do you have bottom paint on your boat? Just wondering so I get the correct prop put on engine.

I did not notice any bulge in my transom. I will take a closer look next week when I get some more time to work on it. I have ordered the plastic trim for the sides, but still trying to source the AL or stainless bottom.
