    Yamaha touchscreen display

Hi Everyone, I have twin 200 2021 yamaha engines. The touch screen display never seems to completely line up with the actual trim position of the engines. It always appears that one engine is not at the same trim/tilt as the other engine. Sometimes it's flashing yellow for one engine when...

    Outriggers on a 228?

I don't have my 228 anymore but I had the same set up as KY Grady. It was nice to not have them fully extended on long runs or just having them out of the way on certain days. I also put in zero degree swivel rod holders in between the two existing rod holders on the gunnel. This was a...

Not a grady question but you guys know a bunch so

you really should try to get a ride on a CAT. Buzzards Bay in Ma has a lot of constant chop during and that is where I would see the CATs the most. There is a reason. When I was returning in the chop in the afternoon from offshore (New England sounds similar to SF) on my Marlin, my Marlin would...

The only better boat than a Grady is a bigger Grady and I'm going bigger

Congrats! I had a Marlin for about seven years and loved it. A bow thruster was pretty sweet to have when docking on a windy day at the Marina. Good Luck!

    Roughest Seas You’ve Endured - Seafarer 228?

I have owned a 226 with a two stroke and a soft top and a 228 with bracket and hard top. The 228 , IMHO, was a much better riding boat. The extra weight and bracket really made a difference. I used the boat primarily coastal fishing in Massachusetts generally 1-30 miles offshore. Mostly...

Transom Rebuild - The Saga Begins

Since he bought the boat new, I would think they would help with possibly some of the materials costs. I remember some old threads where others had mentioned that.

    GW Delivery Delays?

I also have some concern over quality during this mix of high demand and Covid. I'm ok if they deliver a little later but kept up the quality standards. they have many different model manufacturing lines. I will love to know how they decide what gets built when there is a labor issue. Do...

    Is bigger really better?

I think the ride will improve with the size and the weight in the afternoon sound chop. 30 feet is great size for being bigger but most can still handle the boat on their own. See if you can get a test drive or go out with someone with a similar size boat. I had a 30 foot marlin for 7 years...
