What kind of hours do you rack-up?

I average about 200hrs per season in the Northeast. I can only imagine how many hours / engines I would burn through if I lived down south.

There are plenty of days where we only head out to behind the break wall or go to a cove. 30-40 minutes round trip.
Even with fishing trips, I rarely have to go more than 5 miles off shore.
I guess I'm spoiled. Lots of good spots close to home.
depends on how you look at it. thats a fishing only mind set. my favorite thing is actually running the boat, just feeling the waves, hearing the spray, the sound of the motors. neither is right or wrong, just different ways to look at it.

I don't get out as much as I like but a 2 day heavy tackle game fishing trip would rack up around 20hrs.
5hrs at cruising speed the rest trolling at around 9knots.

I do as well. I just don't get those opportunities often enough in part due to weather. 50 mile trip was amazing conditions. 34 mile trip was rough as @#$&!

gotta be at least 5x running time
I would guess many hundred or thousand times more.A year has 8760 hours , minus engine hours and boating without running engine would be about 8500 - 8600 hours doing nothing, occupying space, needing repairs and modifications and costing money.

I've spent countless hours on boats, motorcycles, fast cars, and women. The rest, I squandered! :p

I know that isn't how the saying goes, but it isn't far off from the truth!

SIX lousy hours this year. If the %$#@ wind would just stop blowing every time I get down to the shore... :(

I am averaging about 65 hours a year. I do full day trips and a lot of half day trips. Engines are always on. 99% fishing. My guess is 50% of the time is trolling. Hopefully, I can get my hours back up next year. I used to do 100 per season.

As I suspected, seems like most with high hours are putting on a lot of low rpm hours. Had I fished like years past, this would have been a 40-50 hour year from trolling. My 20 hours of troll time would equal 40 total fishing hours alternating between engines.
