    Bilge Pumps

My guess is the "pump" is the same size, and all of the other components have gotten smaller.

    2000 272 Sailfish Motor Size

I looked at the brochure from 2000. It appears that in 2005, its final year, the Islander gained almost 1000 pounds. No idea if it did, or it was a misprint. Find it hard to believe additional equipment weighed that much. WRT to a four stroke 200 HP, I think it will move the boat fine; she...

    2000 272 Sailfish Motor Size

The Islander is a much lighter boat than the Sailfish. The Island is 8' 6" o the beam versus 9'6", a foot shorter, and 4,660 pounds versus 6,750.

UPDATE Advice dealing with Moisture at the Trim Tabs

If the core is solid, take some acetone on a Q-tip, and wipe the hole out to dry everything out. Let everything dry out for a few days. Drill an oversize hole. Fill with epoxy to seal the core. Drill a hole for the screws, and seal screws with a sealant suitable for use below the waterline...

2004 Marlin 300 - sq ft of flooring?

According to Grady, the cockpit is 74 sq ft, so 100 is likely close

    2000 272 Sailfish Motor Size

I owned a 2000 with twin 225 Optimax outboards. I can't imagine the boat will perform well with 150s, especially loaded with four guys, bait, fuel, ice, etc.

    282 Sailfish Cabin Moisture Control

I have a humidifier glued to a scrap of seadek that I keep in the head compartment. It drains via a plastic hose into the floor drain. It cycles on and off based on humidity level. I also leave my AC on dehumidification mode.

    282 Draft

I wouldn't worry about finding your draft to the nearest inch. Remember when you load up with four fishing buddins, ice, bait , tackle, and a full tank of fuel you will be a few inches lower than when it is just you running on empty to the gas dock.

    Rod storage

The folding cabin racks were an option on the Sailfish, and I think they remain one on the Marlin. As such, you may be able to order them from a Grady dealer

Scummy Things Fellow Boaters Have Done To Others...

Had a dock neighbor back another dock neighbors wife (on the wife's boat). Needless to say, it put a damper on socializing for a while

    1998 272 Sailfish Engine Upgrade

You can figure out the weight difference between the motors you are considering and the current motors, and put some bags of sand on the transom to simulate the weight. I wouldn't run her with these, but it will let you see how she sits at rest. Make sure you also have a few buddies sit on the...

    Express 330 concerns?

Many of these type of issues are owner inflicted in both Grady's and other boats. Owners drill holes for rod holders, snaps, eyes for flat lines, etc, but do not drill them oversized, fill with epoxy, and redrill. Instead they hope that the sealant on the screw threads with seal the holes...

    360 express purchase. Help wanted!

In addition to the hull survey, did you have a Yamaha tech go over the engines? If so, I would ask him about the RPM disparity; if not, I would have one go through them.

At 55 mph I would take it down. It will also save you from having to clean bugs off the Isinglass

    Factory outriggers

My guess, and this is simply a guess, is that WMW crafted the outriggers when they made the hardtop for Grady. Grady is very good at customer support. I would guess if you ask them, they could confirm.

    Factory outriggers

The side cabin mount were definitely Lee's, assuming they came from the factory

    Grady White vin #

You will likely have to see if the selling dealer, or original sales documents have them, as at that time Grady pre-rigged engines, and shipped the hull to the dealer. The dealer finished rigging the engines which came from the engine OEM.
